I've been looking through old newspapers lately, on Google Newspapers ... Sydney Morning Herald

In January 1980 there were 13 metropolitan meetings in Sydney, and 12 provincial meetings. All with big fields, average number of scratchings.
The nominations for each meeting took up half a column in the Herald there were so many. Trackwork times took up a full column.

Pooofs have taken over Sydney the last couple of decades. Mardi Gra last week. 169,000 Thousand ( Bare arrsses everywhere in the main street.) Warwick Farm Carnival today 4,009 including Jockeys and catering Staff plus 12 car parking attendants all fully clothed.

Gay people have existed throughout time at about the same ratio to non-Gay people Monday Mike. Nothing has changed only that it's safer to express non-hetero identities these days thanks to advanced in human rights and anti-discrimination legislation in many places.
It remains that those so vocally opposed to diverse sexualities and gender identities are indeed those with deeper personal issues around those subjects, those that seek to displace any perceived and unwanted attention from their own insecurities onto the shoulders of those that have already shown the courage to be themselves in the face of a society still dominated by a majority of mindless conformers. There is no shame in being who you are, and thus calling people "pooofs" or "gay" as an attempted insult only serves to highlight personal weaknesses in those from whom those words are uttered. I doubt very much that the problems with racing in NSW have anything to do with individuals' sexuality or gender identity. |

Gays have always lied about the percentages, they used to push the 10% line, which is grossly over inflated btw, now Otto_Von_Skidmark wants people to believe its 50 50  A lot of things have existed throughout time, that doesn't make them right, beastiality, sexual perversion, mental illness are just a few that spring to mind |

I did not say in equal numbers.
What I did say was that the ratio today is the same as it has always been. I will not be drawn into further comment on the rest of the text you have wasted your time typing other than to suggest that Senator Corey Bernardi would agree with you, as would others like Fred Nile. Not the quality of people that I believe are looking towards an inclusive and cohesive society. |
