Does anyone have any information about the best horse racing ratings service that is available. I am looking at joining aussieraces.com and would like to know if anyone subscribes to them and what they are like. Feel free to suggest any other ratings service that you believe is good value. Also let us all know the bad ones so we can stay away.
They tell me Let's Elope has got a brilliant rating service. 100% strike rate, I'm told ... but the only problem is there's a bit of a time delay and you don't get the info until after the race has been run.
Pity 'bout that.

Yes ratings are the same as tips. I'm not talking about those that post tips on these forums. I am asking about those websites who provide ratings and tips for a fee. Looking for a service that has a decent strikerate at a reasonable average price.

Things to remember. Ratings are just a guide, they aren't the be all and end all. Those who sell tips and ratings are human excrement. There are free ratings on Racingandsports.com. Hope this helps

A reasonable average would be between $3.50 & $4.50. For prices around this mark the strikerate should be a minimum of 30%. It will be interesting to see if anyone posts a reply about an actual tipping or rating service that they have had experience with.

Craig The Speculator. That's all very well to make that comment, so how about you name some names. Afterall that is what this thread is about. Which tipsters out there are good and which are bad.

i'm waiting for the next one that is 101% fit and unloading imo
i'd suggest most here like to do the form for themselves and wouldn't want to pay for tips - although some of us might do better if we did!!!
good luck finding a service though Kochy although my guess is it was actually just a plug for the service you mentioned in your op

What about convincing a few of us, Jim?
How about simply providing us with the fittest horse in the yard for each race at Flemington on New Years Day?
If not, something similar please.

I make a conscious effort not to bet on anything unless it's in the yard about to race. The horse or horses I prefer or bet on are my only focus in the race, I do not go out of my way to see replays and do not remember the names/performance of a great majority of competing horses- not even all the ones I back. I do NOT blackbook or follow horses as such, I find it a loss making habit, particularly because I do no form and would find myself betting on a blackbooker purely because it's running, without any realistic idea of other factors, including comparing it to it's opposition.
This abstinence is usually only tested when I back one on looks and for example , it's extremely unfortunate in the run. Other times (very rarely) it has been a horse that has won a race I've bet in that has captured my attention. Chase The Rainbow was one of those.
Cut to the chase. I saw Warwarick parade two starts ago at ?. It looked very well and was clearly the pick of the yard. I did NOT back it as it was in a weak STAYING race (I generally ignore them) and had a jockey on I'd never heard of. Rode it poorly and it won easily. It's last start was a carbon copy.
Same rider today I think I'm rather impressed with Warwarick. Should I bet? Should I stick to the plan and avoid
such follies?
Discuss....

The most disturbing thing about the grub known as Jim Valuebet is that he keeps popping his head up on this forum, which means he must be having some success roping in suckers! Say it isn't so people You'd be better off taking a picture of your own backside and referring to that before punting

Big day at Flemington and Rosehill, only 2 - 4 super fit horses emailed out free, or a horse to lay.
Very selective service.
I can't vouch for his method and I'm certainly not vouching for his "service", however! I think I agree with the
fundamentals of his method.
Mounting Yard appearance does count.
If one had the patience of a Saint (and reasonable M. Y. vision) a regular profit can be made from it.
I think he adds his own form assessment alongside their appearance, there we differ.
Bit like the Punters Show MYM that used to be spruiked on here, I personally don't like it.
I am certainly a cynic but I would be interested in seeing a few days of his selections. (Free of course)

VK, I don't remember the thread and plan to have a look. The one I have found and read, I found interesting on many levels.
1. Seemed to be 18 pages of overall "successful" tipping.???? (I'll leave the accounting to others)
2. Several forumites, surprisingly, expressed that they were genuinely impressed by his efforts.
NOTE; I DO NOT SUPPORT HIS TIPPING SERVICE ( or any for that matter )
