Nope. Doesn't matter how well they look, if they can't stay...they can't stay! particularly the weaker races, there are
big question marks over whether or not they can stay or are really just too slow to compete in shorter races IMO
Same as wet tracks (I AVOID)Doesn't matter how well they look, if they can't handle it....they can't handle it.
1000m they can win three quarters fit... so no bet there either
Hope you're finding safety in numbers, not danger in numbers...in your trading exploits, Shiraz
Cheers

LIH I really like Aerobatics today in the 2nd last at Geelong, I know it's Aerobatics but I think its finally come good again, it was completely stopped in its tracks virtually the entire straight at caulfield last time and should have gone close, this is a massive drop in class and it should be hard to beat with a decent ride if it reproduces its last couple of runs.

KOONOOMOO beat it a fair way that day and SPOT ON MAGGIE was just as badly help up.
Both better in at the weights.
LE - I will say one thing against it. KOONOOMOO beat it a fair way that day and SPOT ON MAGGIE was just as badly help up. Both better in at the weights.
32.09 for the last 600m in a Geelong Cup as I said on the dunaden thread it was always a worry the lack of pace. Positive ride by Boss on Gatewood won the race and as it has raced on the speed in the past and shown that it was capable of doing so. He will be better suited at Flemington but it's shaping up to be the best Melbourne Cup in years, if not ever.

Danehill no argument about the weights in that race but if Aerobatics is the horse I always thought it had the potential to be, it has to be able to beat these irregardless. Think it's clearly the class horse and that class should carry it a long way against these even though it is disadvantaged severely at the weights.

Good luck Lets Elope, that's a particularly early tip Happy
C'mon Joel. You've been around long enough to know what comes next..... a) i COULDN'T GET THE PRICE SO DIDN'T BACK IT B) It looked bad in the yard so I didn't back it C) I laid off in the run because the jockey went back when he should've gone forward or D) (in the unlikely event his dart throwing finds a winner)
LOOK AT ME ...I'M THE CHAMPION!

nice ride by kerrin 4 deep, the entire no cover and thens finds trouble in the straight, in saying that it was a bit disappointing it will keep for another day.

Was very disappointing Let's, but was never going to get in closer than 3 off on my map...so was about where I expected in the run.
Not going well enough IMO

Thank goodness Snowden has stuck with Christian Reith in the next and not put Josh Parr on it. Was on Maluti earlier for a nice result and even though he appeared to give it every chance he jsut gets nothing out of them at the crunch and often for mine seems to ride them too over confidently.

What did you make of zaamore first up run Dane? I 've no doubt it can improve significantly on that and will probably have something because I have an opinion of it and its a big drop in class but found it hard to get a line on the merits of its run the other day
