Sydney just flying along underneath the radar......perfect run in....fresh legs......probabaly not taken seriously until now......Collingwood will be leg weary, emotionally tired and im pretty confident may just fall in a heap tonight.
Sydney 40pts - Goodes/Jetta first goal
Nothing better than Collingwood being beaten in a prelim......GO SWANNIES!!!!
should be a couple more goals in front but still a very good start from the swans they need to keep up the scoreboard pressure though if richards is gone as cloak xould cause a lot of damage if collingwood mids get hold of the ball, swan mids just have to deny them the ball and cut off his the supply to cloak.

As expected Pies players look flat, they lack a bit of spark maybe the big past couple of weeks has taken its toll on them. Swans are running really well in midfield and getting alot of attacking opportunities. Losing Ted Richards is the only concern for Swans, Swans may activate sub early here.

Collingwood played much better midway through the 3rd quarter, and gave their heart in the whole performance. Swans a real shot at winning the flag next week

No doubt they can win it as they can bring the physical and tackling pressure that can bring the Hawks, assuming they get through, undone but they will need to kick straight and put heavy scoreboard pressure on the Hawks.
A lot of pressure and expectation on the Hawks as everyone has thought all the way through that they're the red hot favourites and were good things and the Swans are peaking again at the right time with all their big guns firing Goodes, Jetta, Kennnedy, Mumford, Bolton etc, etc.

Swans midfield is just tough they love going for the contested possession, and I think the Swans are the only side that can match the Hawks pound for pound. Midfield wise , they go for the ball just as hard with players like Bolton, O'Keefe, Kieran Jack.........

I wouldn't have thought so, in my opinion I think they should be a lot closer than that on their recent form but then again I've never subscribed to the theory that the hawks were over the line for this years flag. The reality is that the hawks will be short priced favourites.

Already got that beforehand so am not overly fussed its just an interest bet anyway, I can't see how he can possibly be that price after such a big season and he proably won't win but i have a feeling he'll poll ok.

cheer cheer the red and the white - GO YOU GOOD THINGS
Hawks should be favourites, if they make it and don't lose any players BUT Sydney will give them a very good run for their money

I wasn't suggesting it was over Whisker. Can't see the crows winning though, would be the biggest prelim shock since that magnificent day in 1999. Fraser Brown you are much loved.

Every year at we get one epic prelim. Channel 7 have to stop with the clock counting down, make it count up so we don't know when the siren sounds. Every game like this has it's dying moments ruined when watching on TV

yep--Agree Crazy snake--Seen alot rubbish games this year, with teams playing loose men back and 12 men on the ball.. Been terrible, but all the finals have been open free-running. Tonight was a pleasure to watch

Swans a HUGE show next week. They'll play tight and tough. Don't think the Hawks will like that. Hawks have the shorter break and looked tired for mine at the end. Gonna be a good granny

That's why I asked the question would Swans be 3.65 against the Hawks in the GF. I figured 3.20 was a free hit. Couldn't see the Hawks starting much shorter than 1.45 unless they smashed the Crows.

Swans can definitely win it, all the pressure on the hawks for mine and they would want to play a lot better than that as the swans have their hit top form again at the right time.

I admit I got somewhat lucky, but I had such a cushion in that market I figured I might as well risk it. I really risked $600 to make $600 if you boil it down.

I just don't know if he can get enough 3's can he?
Anyone giving out 'tips' for a Brownlow knows nothing about what they are betting on. The Brownlow comes with no form guide, it is only an opinion of an umpire on a given day and no one can use any tool to predct a human beings opinion. It is pot luck and if you view it as that when you have a bet it is a bit of fun.
I might spec Kennedy, Mitchell and Sewell for a bit of interest

No way Gaz wins..agree with AD..not enough 3s..lots of his possies, were a buffalo girls, round the outside..think it could be like a Paul Couch kind of year..a bolter may win IMO
I'm gonna multi up most points for each team bets..

I think it's pretty much a lottery, as I already said somewhere else, but the betting is quite true all the same. Really think Gazza is the best player in the game and even in losing sides he is often unbelievable. Just cannot ignore that level of individual dominance. Like I said, he is the best and fairest, so should win. I think that is the best place for my money in any case.

If you can't see how good Hawthorn are then more fool you. They were as bad as they could possibly be today and still won a final, what is it now something like 13 out of 14 with the loss being a kick after the siren? I told you this when they were 2W 3L and out of the eight and you wanted to bag me, if you can't admit it is pretty sharp foresight on how could good this group really was then it is pretty disappointing of you I would have thought

Not saying they are not a match for them CS, and Sydney very, very rarely get blown away. In fact I would be happy to see Sydney win they are easy to like, but just don't see them turning the tables on the bigger ground if they couldn't beat them a month ago with a lot in their favour.
That said - I did say about 4 months ago Hawthorn badly need Hodge, and he will need to be there next week, he gives them so much leadership. I am assuming there is no issue with him playing next week but I guess we won't know until later this week

My mail is he'll play. Was just illness, not anything structural.
Adelaide were oh so close to knocking them off. Dangerfield played such a great last term but had he broke that tackle it was game over. Amazing twist of fate.

What I seen from Sydney was very disciplined football, although the Pies were spent they couldn't get the ball out of their backline all that often.
Sydney are a huge chance in the GF
