Thongo, there's a lot of info out there (and on this forum if you go back). Here's a good place to start: http://www.dbcde.gov.au/broadband/online_gambling/2011_review_of_the_interactive_gambling_act_2001

A quick answer is we may know within a month or so.

As I understand it, the Government will release a final report on the Interative Gambling Act 'shortly'. This report will include recs on inplay as well as other types of gambling.

Legislation will then be drafted, which will hopefully call for inplay via the web... Unfortunately the last we heard is that the Opposition won't support it and the spokesperson from the Greens isn't enamoured with the idea either. We just have our fingers crossed.

Thanks for the info Josh-T. Its amazing how something so simple can be drawn out into a long complex process. I tend not to trade much at the moment due to the fact that doing so via the telephone takes way too long and as prices fluctuate so quickly, its hardly worthwhile, and especially considering the money I have lost when I couldve sold something off instantly rather than waiting on the telephone.
