Bendigo Trots R10 9th June

The fav was gross unders D_T, is was around 2.3 to 2.4 for most of betting which was more than a full point of unders. Nothing untoward here I wouldn't have thought just people getting carried away wanting to back an ex kiwi that is no good at all

Not really, the horse is very limited and if they ask it to sprint for an extra 200 metres it probably couldn't hack it

Don't overlook that the leader had run right off the track so if he comes wide he is probably 6 deep around the bend, wouldn't have finished any closer had he done that

Seemed unusual to go to the fence behind a tiring leader when he could have followed the 3 wide horses who ended up 1st and 2nd....

I think at the time it was not an unreasonable decision, the horse at the head of the field had run to the outside fence and forced everything wider, there was a chance the heavens would open on the inside when he went there, and I maintain that horse was not good enough to come very deep (which he would have been) and won

he gave it no chance, but actually got lucky by getting that split on the home turn. as ad said the horse looks very limited. it was a disgraceful race and it is surprising how much money was matched.

DT I don't think S Dyer is a rorter just bordering on incompetent for the amount of times he goes around. He drive last night on a $2.30 pop in a field of donkeys was mind boggling. cannot believe they didn't query the drive1

I think if you have a look at its first run in Victoria (Shepp 26 May)closely from the 300m and then you realise who drove the winner that night..you could assume there would be a bit of improvement in its next run if the accepted amount of vigour and aggression was used. However may have been a victim of circumstances at Bendigo as well as the horse raced roughly in the home straight which prevented it from being driven out yet still ran last half in 57.5. Will win shortly in right company if driver permits.

I could go 57.5 around Bendigo GS, I think with some of the remodelled tracks it is very easy to be seduced by times, Bendigo is definately one of those where the time standard has lifted a lot.

The horse is not much good, if anyone wants to keep backing at 6/4 I will be happy to see the other side of the bet is taken care of

You know how bad some of the fields in Vic are AD, there is a race for all the bad horses..one day! In saying that I do believe this horse is much better than a C0 and should win at least a couple of races so I'll be looking for your lay..in the right race

You are right Gatespeed, some of these bottom up races they are running now are nothing short of disgraceful. Yes, given the right draw it can win one of those, but it won't be winning any more than a C0 in my view. Its first Aussie run was very, very basic indeed.

Had some coins on, the drive last start was truly staggering imo, was under a full nelson the entire race

Different horse when driven to win IMO

Thank you fro bringing this up. Competent drivers different result. Has done a good job this horse since the sandbag was taken off and will now win its C0 and C1 in its next 4-5 starts. May also win it's 3C1 if they can find a suitable race before the season is out.
