If the Tigers are to be taken seriously they must produce the same level of intensity against Port at AAMI next week, this is close to a season defining game , they absolutely have to get the job done against a vastly inferior side in Port next round after putting in two terrific efforts that ultimately resulted in gut wrenching losses to top four contenders in West Coast and Geelong, they have way too much talent to not comfortably put away an honest but still far from threatening Port.
The point I am making Joel is far too often past Tiger sides havent followed up good performances by winning games that is absolutely essential that they win against lesser opposition, all their credibility goes out the window if they don't come out and give to Port in the next round.

log it absolutely essential,as they're ready to step and just have to ge the job done next week, not only that they have to assert their superiority and belt Port as they have a series of monster games coming up after that. They then play Swans at the G, bombers at the G, Hawks at the G, Saints at etihaad, & freo at the G, so they are the masters of their destiny if they're good enough. Port , saints bomber, freo and hawks are all winnable games if they play they like they have played in the last two weeks and can keep their heads under pressure. It just depneds on how badly they want it or not. If they four o even three of those next six there in reasonable shape as they have adleaide at aami a winnable game, dees at the g, suns in cairn, north at the g,blues at the g, dogs at the g, freo at subi, bombers at the g and port at the g. So they have 10 games at the g so although those are against some tough teams if they are good enough they can put themselves into the mix but they must start by smashing port this week. If they don't their season is all but done and dusted.

They have a damn tough draw which will be the end of them this year - 2013 for them with a kinder draw and further improvement.
BEing a long time Richmond supporter Let's Elope I understand your concerns this week, and I certainly will not be surprised if we fall off 15% and get rolled

don't think so merveille I think these young tigers are a different breed and are going to be furious after losing both of those last two plus hardwicke won't let them drop off. I think they'll blow port apart on the weekend and am prepared to put my money where my mouth is, I will more than likely depending upon the price be having a decent bet on the tigers on the weekend. This mob are ready to step up and Port may be a bit flat anyway after the showdown, no way will hardwicke let them take this game for granted.

On occasion over the past couple of seasons thye have let us down but have also managed to catch them at the right time too on several occasions, this mobi is gorwing uop quickly and have to the potnetial to develop into a very good side they just depserately need a big name scalp to their credit but they will exorcise some frustration tomorrow.

Wouldn't have thought so AD Tigers are the best value of the round think they are a legitimate $1.20-$1.30 shot. I will be absolutely shattered if they let me down tomorrow as I will putting plenty of money where my mouth is but I can't see that happening.

Port are not much good but if you have been watching football the last 15 years and still getting carried away with Richmond I dont know what to say
1.2/1.3 Richmond!!!!Port are not much good but if you have been watching football the last 15 years and still getting carried away with Richmond I dont know what to say
Im being set up for a big fall I know but this young group of players are starved for success and will have been eating raw meat all week after another nailbiting loss and loved the passion of the captain chris newman last week when he hurled his mouthgard away in disgust when the siren went. That's a different attitude these boys want success hardwicke was ropable that they let that one slip last week neither he or the captain will let the team drop off this week after those last two performances, if they bring the same level of commitment which I think they will, they will absolutely smash Port.

Well Richmond have certainly shortened, although I learned long ago that AFL market moves are much more about how the punters are thinking than how the teams will actually perform.

Thanks Khan that was absolutely massive overs and a very tidy result and most importantly it was absolutely absolutely painless. I layed off at the $1.01 at halftime for my stake even there was no need too, just because it was the smart thing to do, so it was always cruise control.
Well done Tigers, a very big challlange for them next week though playing the Swans on the rebound at the MCG, should be a cracking game.
Their destiny is in their own hands if the Tigers are good enough to take the next step as they play a heap of teams above them over the next month or so.

Megsy the eagles had nearly double their shots at goal if just a 1/3 of their snaps had gone through it's a towelling. North's endeavour was ok but the score didn't reflect how the Eagles controlled the majority of the game and it was an outstanding performance by them minus Naitanui, Schofield, Brown, Smith and Kennedy from last week then losing Adam Selwoood about 10 minutes into the 3rd quarter with a compound fracture of the hand. Lycett, Brennan, Shepherd all came in and stepped up and got the job done, I wonder how much money the knockers of them on here have to do before they realise they're a pretty good team. Still think the Swans are close to the best though.

lets, look at it in another vision. played in melbourne, north wins.
WCE always known to be a 4-6 goal better team at home.
2ndly, your too bias to get a serious comment from.

No way North wins that game in Melbourne, if anything your bias is clouding your judgment. I didn't bet today because I was a little concerned prior to the game and they were no value but they weren't complacent, their endeavour was terrific and they did it without Naitanui, Ash Smith, Kennedy, Brown and Schofield from last week, it was an outstanding effort and then they lost another valuable player in Adam Selwood ten minutes into the 3rd quarter against an improving side that is rated as a contender.
When North was asked the question, they couldn't answer it, it's as simple as that.

8 weeks till the rematch......"in melbourne" and your first defeat next week "in melbourne " against essendon. very amusing, WCE plays most the contenders at home.
richmond should have beaten you in melbourne last week !!! only reason they didnt win is because they dont know how to win in time on..........yet

The did'nt win because of the eagles tremendous self belief megsy, and because of the outstanding desperate team first play from the likes of kerr, hams, smith, waters, priddis, selwood etc when the match was on the line.
