At the main meeting in Sweden last night at Axevalla, a guy called Ake Svanstedt drove the first SEVEN winners !
After steering home the first at $3.60 for an outside stable, he trained and drove the next six at prices of - $2.70, $6.10, $2.30, $1.40, $7.20 & $2.70.
Pretty sharp shooting considering the high take out from the Swedish tote.
Unplaced in his remaining three drives, but he did train the $1.40 winner of the junior driver race.
At a guess it's 25%. Sweden is a very highly taxed country and racing is no exception.
I was over there when Knight Pistol was racing and tried to get on but was told you basically can't bet win only, they mostly bet on a pick 6 races in a row with big dividends that help them disguise the huge takeout.

Still doing my best Elsu. Pretty much just bet on the Trots and manage to survive OK. I'm not sure how much longer the game as we know it, will be around though. The Breeding Industry has fallen off the side of a cliff and with bugger all foals being born we won't be racing 7 days a week much longer. I still talk to our old mates regularly (Turt and Jimmy) but virtually never go to the track. Say g'day to Sue for us.
