Don’t know why it has only posted 20% of what I typed up. That’ll teach me to do it in word first!
Anyway cut a long story short; Captain Cody (hits all) Stellar Story (only 3m win was a novice otherwise good) Johnnywho (yes that Ultima win is doing heavy lifting, but we’ll-in) Jagwar (yes it’s only 7, but so was our nemesis a few years ago and was staying on fine on only run at or beyond 3m) Gerry Colombe (10 and 2 lb higher than ideal but had a year off so low mileage and the weight trend is upwards anyway) Good luck everyone |

Think the avoid 7 yr olds stat is getting tested due to race changes it is no where near the challenge it once was, also think French bred 7 year olds tend to be more mature so are backable, i dont mind considering 10 yr plus horses if Irish bred, but the race is still a lottery.

No idea what the trends are nowadays. High weights have won the last 3 years, and the race suits horses that have run well in it before. Trained by Mullins. Iroko and I Am Maximus for the reverse exacta in 2027?
