Certainty in horseracing? The closest was Shergar, and at 'even' money it was a giveaway by the then bookies. Now, a similar horse would be 1/3 or lesser with the present turf accountants.

I've had a few 'epic boost' bets on Corach Rambler eg 12/1 -> 24/1. I'd him last year too. I'm hoping for a repeat.

I think a restriction will be coming if Corach Rambler wins; I'd similar for Vanillier, and I am Maximus ie 2x antepost. I tried to do the same with Kyprios for the Ascot Gold Cup. He's 3/1, but the same bookie is only offering 3.75, not 6/1; they also stop me getting free plays on slots. |

I have had a number of winners in the National over the years but have also had an incredible amount of seconds. The most painful, and I cry as I think of it, being Whats Up Boys.
  Life changing dosh if it hadn't got passed on the tun-in by the horse it took the lead from over the last!  It is still agonising! |

Your Own Story going at Warwick on Thursday coming, over 3m2f. Even that is a bit short for him. Entered at Ayr. Could the stable do the National double? Indeed, is that the plan? What a glorious piece of work that would be.
I think Red Rum and Ginger did it in the same season though my memory is not as reliable as it used to be. |

If you can Dragon , Crooks has a £5er money back to bet on the first at Aintree if you have a National bet and your first named is top price 40s (Hope that doesnt mean it goes to Ayr ! )

The race has turned into a glorified handicap rather than one about the fences. At this moment I think the values of most have diminished somewhat. Apart from the fav others eg I am Maximus (9/1), Meetingofthewaters (well-handicapped) and Mahler Mission both still represent values at 16/1 each, I think.

I started to count how many Irish entries were in the top 34 listed in the RP then realised, sheepishly, that it was much more appropriate, and faster, to count the non-Irish in that number.

Sportsbook have a false start offered as a 4/6 shot.
All horses to safely negotiate the 1st as a 4/5 shot. A pity they weren't available on the Exchange as I would lay them both. |

BBC is some rain every day over the three days can see some very depleted fields happening on Thursday Perhaps even Friday Worse going Year in my Lifetime was Red Marauder,Probably the same for all of us , The Friday of that Year was desperate as well |
