I took 33s yesterday and only left it late as also could run in Irish national. Only reason I can see for move is its probably Rachael Blackmores ride as its Henry De Bromheads horse.

Minella Times looks to have been taken out of the Irish National yesterday, so Aintree must be the target.
He has not run beyond 3 miles or won beyond 2m6f so the trends boys will hate him. |

Racing Post Saturday -- Henry de Bromhead interview with David Jennings, page 5.
"He [Minella Times] is not 100 per cent certain to go just yet. But Balko Des Flos and Chris's Dream definitely run." |

rachel blackmore will ride minella times, with mark walsh on any second now.

Shocking price atm, I guess the Rachael Blackmore angle. Doesn't tick many boxes and 25/1 or bigger would be more realistic.

Agreed , similar chance to Balko ...170s

Is Blackmore confirmed on MT yet?

The way supergirl has been riding u wanna add a zero

Minella Times looks like he is being kept short because the books anticipate Rachel Blackmore pulling in the casual punters, especially women.
I can't see it, mainly because the betting shops are closed and once-a-year punters do not have online accounts. I'd expect Minella Times to drift on the day when the wall of tenners does not arrive. |

Very good point Ram

Well done boys - as I said ' similar chance to Balko at 170s ' , at least I had the place , if not a voice .

WD @The Dragon.
My musings on the market were correct: Minella Times was put in too short for a gamble that never came, and did drift out from 8 to 11/1 SP. WD to all who backed Minella Times at fancy prices. My saver on him means I can aftertime a profit of £19.20 on the race. ![]() |
