Finished 3rd in last year's RSA 10l behind Might Bite and Whisper. Gets in the National off 148, which would seem more than fair.

Always had a touch of class about him, beating Coney Island for example, and although clearly had issues is on my initial shortlist.

After watch him cruise round yesterday and empty very quickly, Im in 2 minds whether being 10lb lower and on hopefully better ground than what he ran on yesterday would've made any difference to his chances at Aintree had he ran.

Hindsights a great thing but they've been so keen to win the trainers championship they've given up on a golden chance of Aintree glory. Whoever's advising Graham Wylie should get their papers. Munir and Souede stood up to Mullins, with Footpad waiting for Aintree, who apparently tells the owners whats happening and where their horses should run. Bellshill won't be off 148 for a long long while.

The perils of AP betting!

Ran a great race yesterday on desperate ground but don't think he would stay at Aintree even if it might be better ground.

plenty of horses look to be cruising 3 out at Aintree but don't get home
