Any eye catchers? There's a couple I like. Royale Knight at 10-01 could come into the reckoning but might need the ground the softer sound of good. Last year he travelled really well into the race but was outpaced about 3 furlongs out. Any give in the ground and he can dourly stay on into a good position.
Cause Of Causes is another that I like at a feather weight of 10-01. His tactics were completely wrong last year. He was dropped out the back and asked to make up masses of ground in the final mile and to be fair, he stayed on well into 8th but no one makes up that much ground in a national. If he can be ridden a bit closer to the pace (this shouldn't be a problem for a horse who won a Ladbroke hurdle!) he could really get involved. The problem with both of these is that they are down at 72 or so in the weights list, as such they can't be guaranteed a run.
My two antepost fancies, Wonderful Charm and Rule The World have both been allotted fairly nice racing weights. Rule The World in particular I'm massively liking the look of but Mouse Morris still hasn't nominated this race as the longterm target yet.
Couldn't agree more Frank, bet Cause of Causes as well last year, and he was given a dog of a ride, given no chance at all. I'm not really one to slate jockeys, I also had Night In Milan, and was full of praise for the ride he was given, just didn't appear to last home, he was given every chance. I'm on Cause of Causes again, and think he'll scrape in. Think the cut off will be at the 10st mark, from Bless The Wings down to Gas Line Boy.

I backed Cause Of Causes last year as my main bet of the week, was so annoyed seeing him right at the back. I know he likes to be ridden from off the pace but it simply doesn't work in the national. Clearly been campagined this season with the national in mind too, his run over Christmas was laughably bad.
