you have to go back to 1853 since a horse 14 and over won a grand national . the jockey is excellent and horse was pretty decent (had me worried in National the year i backed Ballabriggs . however unless a lot of fallers he will not have the pace to keep up with his young rivals .

He has good as chance as any in my book... Like I said he did win the Becher ...ok shorter distance but he does show his love for the fences ... Also 4th last year in GN of 10 12... hasnt really had that many runs in the last 5 years... He might be a 14 year old but that should not put anyone off especially now off hardy mark of 10 5...
Obviously there are younger horses... younger legs.. but its this experience around these fences makes him a nifty jumper and has proved that on so many occasions by beating so many younger horses. But I think he has just as good chance as any outsider to win the GN and defy the stats despite being 14 years old. |

OT is a great bet at the prices and he's been my main thought since the Becher. I couldn't back STFD at its price now.
