I had a few quid to burn on Betfair in the Grand National - thought id put a fiver on horse just because of the odds and a hunch the horse might do well if he turned up...

Two I selected were Tranquil Sea 300/1 and Bob Ford 350/1

So post any big bet hunches you had ... be interesting to see whether they get there ... and what price they finish and what position in the GN...

Good luck with those picks guys.

Oh Jeez, I've got a few, here goes.

Had a shortlist of 3 at the start of the season. Bet the other 2, one didn't get an entry, and the other injured, leaving me with one left of my original fancies, Ely Brown..........

Ely Brown 270's to 280's. High hopes for him at start of season, but had interrupted prep, and blew up on comeback.

The Rest

Renard 270's to 290's. Seems to like the place, but not managed win a 3m+ chase that I was hoping for, and his last run at Kempton was strange. Coleman has deserted him for The Druids Nephew, so signs not good.

Rebel Rebellion 300's. The one I'm happiest with, and think he's got a chance if stamina holds out.

Vintage Star 280's to 410's - Really poor at Cheltenham, and unlikely to get in.

Broadway Buffalo 580's to 600's - Quite happy with him at Cheltenham, and hopeful he sneaks in to give me a run.

The Package 410's to 450's - Great win at Cheltenham, and now a few lbs in hand. Hoping he sneaks in, though might feel his last effort, and never ran at his best in previous efforts round here.

Guess Again 400's to 450's - Struggling to get in and likely to head to Ayr or Sandown anyway.

Having no doubt wasted a few quid on those, my main fancies at the moment would be Royale Knight, and Cause of Causes. I've got pennies on RK in a few Mug 31's etc, and got Cause of Causes at 90's to 130's, which I'm really happy with.
