He really strikes me as future Grand National type. Ran a cracker in the Becher for such an inexperienced horse. He looks highly progressive and was staying on all the way from the last. The 2015 national might come to quick for him but he looks made for Aintree in my opinion. Thoughts?

He strikes you as a national horse but I'm sure Harry Fry has said previously that 3 miles is the furthest the horse wants to go. To be honest I did find that a strange thing to say at the time because he never seemed like a horse that was a non-stayer before. I think it was in his stan james column he said it.

I can't see how Harry Fry thinks he's a non stayer, he was staying on from the last on bottomless ground at Aintree in the becher. I think on better ground he will be a force to reckoned with for the national should he go there.

Tbh, the interview I read where he said he wouldn't stay more than 3 miles was before the Beecher and at the start of the season. Maybe he's changed his mind after the Beecher and will give the National a crack.

Thanks for the update mate. is it likely to be aimed for cheltenham instead? such a shamed that he wont take his chance at Aintree after such a promising run in the Becher.

I think the Festival Hcp on the Tuesday was mentioned.

Cant believe this horse wasn't even entered especially after such a promising run in the Becher
his mark will probably go up even further and at 9 he may not get a better chance.

he then turns out in a novice hurdle today, just a thing ideally to protect his mark for the big one, baffling
