How was your Festival this year Mully?  How many years have you been going now?  Do you still get the same buzz year in year out?

Did next to nowt ante-post on the Nat this year... do have one I'm interested in for next year though...

Hi, Been every year since 1993 now. I do actually get the same buzz but fortunately my liver gets less hammer now as the evenings aren't quite as action packed. Tend to go for relaxing meals more now instead of going clubbing like 20yrs ago.
Warne, Avispa, Guitar Pete, Balder Succes & Pineau De Re were my betting highlights Silly

Corrin Wood and Houblon Des Obeaux are my early fancies for this race. Corrin Wood with cut in the ground could eat up these fences. Houblon Des Obeaux stays allday and with another season under his belt this strong classy chaser has the touch of class needed. I was hoping Venitia would give him the experience of the fences this year.

Some of the young uns went to Liverpool after the national and had a great time so it may be off to Liverpool for me next year.

Might try Liverpool myself next year. Southport is like a ghost town. Had some very boring evenings!

By:

When: 02 Aug 14 13:14
This is the first year that there has been a pre sale.
If you purchased tickets the last few years you got a pre sale email with a code.

I went to Neptune Collonges national and didn't enjoy it, been last 6 years otherwise on the Thur/Fri and found it far better. Giving the National itself a try again next year as one of my mates had never been, now just need someone to find me the winner antepost to pay for the day!

When: 03 Sep 14 01:42
The 'JUDGE' who gave a, "NOSE,"  decision to Neptune .... after over 4 miles of Jumping -

- should have been summarily dismissed - first thing the following Monday morning - for NOT giving a 'DEAD-HEAT'

YET another example of ridiculous racing hierarchy 'shooting itself in the foot'. Sad

NO WONDER the general public are not taking the the game -

- and 'die-hards' are deserting the game aswell.Cry

You cannot be serious onlooker, it was clear cut as the print showed.

On your basis of dead heats there would be hundreds a year, what a turn off, cop out and possible open door for corruption.

It is pure fantasy to suggest giving the correct result of a photo is racing shooting itself in the foot and putting people off the game.

Ma Filleule - txt this to the lads as she jumped 2 out in the Topham so may be able to claim this as both aftertiming and a value loser (or the 2016 winner).

DOUBLE SEVEN, who finished third behind Pineau De Re and Balthazar King in the Crabbie's Grand National in April, will miss out this season due to a setback.

Frank Berry, racing manager to the nine-year-old's owner JP McManus, told the Racing Post on Monday morning: "We noticed that Double Seven is high up in the betting lists for the Grand National and thought it best that we let it be known that he has had a setback and won't be running this season."
