If it's eliminated/balloted out due to the safety limit of 40, then money back.

If withdrawn by connections, you lose your dough, unless with a firm offering non-runner money back, or non-runner free bet.

If he's balloted out you get your money back here or on the high street.
If he doesn't run for any other reason you lose your money as we're still in an antepost marktet both on here and on the high street, although many firms are non-runner, no bet. The firms that do carry a green tick at the top of the page on oddschecker.

We go to a day-of-race market on here on Thursday

Who will win this race? Dead heat rules apply. This is an ante post market. All bets stand run or not unless void under the Horseracing Rules and Regs or under the Betfair Terms and Conditions. Please be aware that in some Antepost markets it is possible for more horses to be declared than the field safety limit allows and as such this market may have balloted out horses. Bets on such horses will be void.

Betfair may suspend ante post markets at any stage to protect customers and carry out necessary administration, including in some cases the cancellation of unmatched bets. By their nature, ante post markets can be volatile and customers are responsible for managing their bets on this market at all times.

Please note that an Antepost market is separate to a day of race market. Liabilities will not be carried between events however any winnings/losses in an ante-post market will be netted off against any winnings/losses in the relevant day of race market. You are only liable for commission on net winnings on both markets combined.

Please be aware that due to a high possibility of balloted out runners in this race exposure offset may not be available. When the number of entries totals less than the allowed safety figure then exposure offset will be available again.

Main wallet

This market will close at 10am on the 3rd April. A day of the race market will be available shortly after.

Some are and some are not likely to get in because of only 40 allowed

Some are priced according to their very limited chances of winning even if they get in. It depends on whether the trainers do leave them in, they get balloted out and then you get your money back. It's a constant source of surprise on here most years. Anything balloted out will be money back regardless of the bookmaker.
