Just a thread to keep a note on those taken out

As Michrich reported, Cape Tribulation is a doubt due to leg injury, removed from betting, Freds and PP.

Not sure why they wouldn't pull Cape Tribulation if they have said he is injured?

Anyone know why White Star Line was pulled? I was interested in him.

Dessie Hughes on White Star Line quoted on ATR website-

"He had a setback and I needed him to run in the Bobbyjo if he was going to make the National. I wanted him to have two races before it and we've run out of time now. I had hoped to get him there but it's not to be. He might make the Irish National now"

I mainly concentrate on the horses, though with ante-post bets a long way out I take notice of trainers who target the Grand National.

On the trainer thing, two sort of superstitious things I am thinking are

(i) Dessie Hughes only had two entries in the first place, and now is down to one.

(ii)  Henderson is usually useless at the National, but he lost the Trainer's Championship a couple of years ago by Nipper winning the Grand National, and maybe he'll get his own back on Nicholls, by winning the Trainers' Championship via the Grand National, especially as he said a couple of months ago that he needed to win the GN to win the Trainers' Championship this time.

Henderson is usually useless at the National...

since 2000, Henderson 1-45 in chases at 3m4f+, the only winner being Ceanannas Mor in a 4m Cheltenham handicap in 2003. He still thinks 2 1/2 milers win the National....

My long shortlist is getting shorter.

As horses are taken out I'm not replacing them. I'm now down to 12 Blush
Last year I had so many last minute hunches (non of them came anywhere btw) that I realised that I'd ended up betting against myself Shocked

Aurora's Encore saved the day for me Love
