got a great chance, can't believe it's still 40/1

Cross-country specialist with the odd hunter chase thrown in? No thanks. I see the parallels with Silver Birch but the latter had previously won a Becher and Welsh National.

Happy to include him as a left field section. Long run and pineau DE re are my others in race.

Good jockey. Excellent horseman.

Strange decision to run Xcountry specialist in this, the horse is used to stop start racing.
Balthazar King and Any Currency finished 15th and 17th last year.
Could suprise, but i think complete in his own time maybe

I thought he was the bet of the Festival but he didn't look the same horse as last year. Too easy just to blame the weight increase. For some reason the trainer sounded very negative prior to the Festival so perhaps for whatever reason the horse was in better condition last year.

Not sure why they ditched Barry Cash.
Report jameschildshieldwinner March 31, 2014 8:27 PM BST
The trainer reported that the horse had been ill prior to the festival but he needed to get a run into it. It cetainly looked in the parade ring at Cheltenham that it would come on for the run.
According to the racing post, the lowest weight that Barry Cash has rode at in the last 12 months is 10.13. That could have something to do with him being "ditched".

Could win but an E/W @ 7.2 is my bet.

I like the chances of this horse, it's more than just a hunter-chaser, a bit like Silver Birch was

Silver Birch had won the Beecher and Welsh National as Ramruma says above.

Sorry, can't have Big Shu at all but good luck to all today.
