Teaforthree will probably get placed in a few nationals without ever winning; lacks a finishing kick

thought noel fehily was booked to ride this year, but see he's on rocky creek.
nick scholfield again,or will possibly tony mccoy jump on. |

Any chance he left the race behind at Cheltenham? Looked out on his feet to me.
By:
Must admit he looks a non-stayer.
By:
if by non-stayer you mean he was the best horse in last year's national at the weights, but got outstayed by two inferior horses at the weights, fair enough.
If you mean literally he doesn't stay the trip, does that sound a very sensible idea given he was only 9 lengths off being called home a National winner last year? |
By:
Wins the 4 miler at Cheltenham, 2nd in Welsh national carrying 11-3 on heavy ground, 3rd in GN carrying 11-3 and doesn't stay !! lol
By:
We'll see. Personally I think he'll show up well during the race but be outstayed (again). Perhaps I'll be wrong.
By:
He seems a place banker but i don't think he is that well handicapped for win purposes
By:
The best stayer in the world can be beat if you make it carry enough weight. It's not a case of not staying, it's the weight differential which comes into effect.Any horse which wins or is even placed over 4 miles stays as far as I'm concerned.
By:
Totally agree Bindaree. That it stays is absolutely without question. What is under question is whether it is well handicapped. My thinking is that it is. 9th in a Gold Cup isn't a bad prep as long as the race hasn't left its mark and in my eyes this horse is definitely the most likely winner.
It won't be carrying my money though, unless its still 11/1 on the day and then I might have a tickle. |

By:
up 2lb for finishing 3rd last year, think connections will be well happy with that.
probably try and hold on to him a bit more this year(although he his a free going sort). |
By:
T43 is above the mark he came second in the WN and his last winning mark.
Is he progressive or is he well handicapped? For me niether but he should be on everyones shortlist. Great jumper that stays and has ran in some key races. |

shouldn't that read "down 2lbs".... ? |
By:
"Wins the 4 miler at Cheltenham" - yep, so it gets 4miles
"2nd in Welsh national carrying" - yep, so it gets 3m5f However the GN is 4m3f & he didn't stay after the last, as evidenced by the fact that he led over it & still lost the race by nearly 10 lengths. Furthermore Cappa Bleu (who DOES stay) made up maybe 8L after the last to beat it for second. Watch for youself from 8:30 onwards: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=unykYn4ni4Y Horse is treading water by the elbow and didn't stay the full trip. |
By:
Another point is.
Easier fences mean that this race is ran at a faster pace now than before meaning its a greater stamina test.I just think T43 needed to be running off 144 142 a different trainer may have achevied this. |
By:
if you don't think T43 stays then nothing does, it'll be a case of last horse standing
By:
A 5 furlong horse can stay 4 mile if the race is ran slow enough m8
