Okay so we have 57 remaining in the GN field, who do we think will be non runners?

Horses I think that will come out, unless anyone knows anything different?

Imperial Commander
Roberto Goldback
Forpadydeplasterer
Joncol
Bostons Angel
Magnanimity
Lost Glory

Yeah, sorry, just re-read the title, I don't necessarily think they will come out, just a hunch I guess. Question marks over IC, then how many of the others had the Grand National down as their seasonal aim? The ground I'd have thought was very iportant to Joncol's inclusion.

I'm basically fishing to see if anyone knows of horses who are doubtful participants that all ;-)

I can't see Imperial Commander lining up either. Cloudy Lane will go for the Aintree foxhunters. Balthazar King and Always Waining like top of the ground, so must be doubtful at this stage.

Several others likely to run in Irish National next Monday - the likes of Romanesco, Tofino Bay, Magnanimity, Treacle, Ninetieth Minute, Bostons Angel, Lost Glory, Bob Lingo, Quiscover Fontaine, Quel Esprit and Forpadydeplasterer all still possibles for Fairyhouse. Many will remain in National decs just in case they fall early in Ireland ...

Just a chance we might not get a full field of 40 in 12 days time, especially if it is testing going.

It's a good point about the Irish National, hope Tofino Bay does skip the Irish version and lines up on the 6th April.

Going back to Imperial Commander, if he misses this race what else does he go for this season? If he is fit and well why not let him take his chance, what are they saving him for 2014 Gold Cup??

The Grade 1 Bowl? I think he'll be fine from his virus, but his price for the National possibly suggests he won't participate.

I thought Roberta Goldback has been aimed at this all year?

I have Bob Lingo as likely nr and I think Big Fella will go for the Topham as he doesn't get home over the national trip.

RG is Hendersons only runner so will definitely line up if well, ridden by BG I think will go well.

I thought the intention with Bostons Angel was Aintree? I think I read in the RP Weekender that he was being aimed at the race.

he actually ticks plenty of the boxes for me.

I think the only other comment Jessica Harrington made was that he doesn't want it too soft and with the way the weather is that is a concern. If they have a choice between Fairyhouse on Monday and Aintree a week on Saturday from a going perspective they might well choose to wait a bit longer in the hope that the ground dries out slightly.

Looks like Magnanimity, Romanesco and Quiscover Fontaine are still in the Irish national. Bostons Angel, Joncol and Tofino Bay are not entered according to RP website.

According to twitter Dessie has stated that Tofino Bay goes for a race at Limerick,  BetVictor Racing ‏@BetVictorRacing
Trainer states a novice chase at Limerick on Sunday week is the plan for Tofino Bay. We've removed him from #GN2013 betting & Irish GN.
