66/1 nrnb. Right age profile and if 9 come out then he'll run off bottom weight of 10st. Has won over 4m and the sandown 365. Doesn't travel with the pace which is a bit of a negative but you can't have it all and he's certainly worth a small e/w at that price. Surely he'd be around 28/1 on the day if the ground were reasonably decent.

Seems to make a fair few mistakes in his races reading the race comments. You think he will get around?
Who knows? He's not a bad jumper, but can be a bit "sticky" at his fences when I've seen him which loses momentum. Makes it harder to get into a rhythmn. I can't start making a massive case for him, but at the end of the day he's 66/1 nrnb off bottom weight and will stay so there are a lot of positives.
Despite the handicapper compressing the weights and giving the top weights a decent chance, I still like to make my starting point those under 11st as carrying lumps of weight around 4m3f is not easy regardless of how well handicapped a horse may be. Last year Neptune Collonges and Ballabriggs managed to lug the weight but both are built like tanks.
Those interesting me under 11st are Chicago Grey, Poker De Sivola and Any Currency. Obviously the latter two still have to get a run.
I won't ignore horses above 11st anymore but I need extra reasoning and good prices to back them.

Not entered in the Sandown B365 Gold Cup Chase which I'm hoping is a positive for his chances of running in the National. Topped up at 66s NRNB. Got form on soft, albeit a number of years ago, so possibly still a player in a slog. We know he will stay.
Also had a prep run over the fences in the Becher Chase but not run since which would be a concern as 21 out of last 22 winners had ran in the previous 50 days.
Villa boy - I'm with u. Looks like will get run now, and of close to 10st, will be loose - ferdy will be well happy. Can Timmy do the weight, I hope so. Only negative is running style, but with ground drying out, he is better value than Chicago grey who has similar style.cheek pieces likely to be redeployed as per Whitbread win good value outsider at moment.
he's a great shout at 66s for all the reasons people have already outlined. there's quotes by Murphy on Racing Post about how the National has been the target for the horse so NRNB is almost criminal not to have a nibble. 66s still available at Laddies, amongst others.
My worry now is whether Ferdy will have him trained to the minute for this race or whether it is an 'afterthought' now it looks likely they may sneak a run
Am praying he gets a run am not convinced he will get in hopefully swing bill will get taken out if johnson needs to get him in.
He is 47 at moment reckon maybe 3 or 4 will definately go. Gutted they have confirmed big fella thanks for race as was banking on that dropping out, along with Saint Are who is only 7 stupid to send that for the race at that age.

Think he will squeeze in. at 47 now, 3 more entered in Irish National, Tofino looks like giong to Limerick, so that could easily be 43/4. a few more to scope dirty, etc..... looks a runner to me.

Read in the Racing Post today that Donald Mccain stated that Timmy Murphy will ride Weird Al. Not what I had in mind...would have liked him to be onboard.

Murphy said in Feb that PDS was being targeted at the x country this year, and the national next year, mainly because he didn't think he'd get a run in the National. I haven't heard anything since and don't know why he missed the festival. With him not guaranteed a run here I would have thought the lack of an entry in the b365 is a big negative and suggests all is not well with the horse.
If - big, big "if", he is at his best then I think he's very much over priced. Best form is on good, and he jumped the fences well in the Beecher. But it's also possible he is already roughed off and has only been left in in the hope of being balloted out and getting a refund. Of that he's in no great shape but they figure he may as well have another spin round for experience, with an eye on next year.
