I have backed this for the Grand National this year at 40s and 50s.

I bet it earlier on in the season when he won at Ascot back in November at 10/1 and I remember reading then that Henderson is targetting the Grand National for this season with the horse. I thought he was well handicapped that day and so it proved to be as he won the race by about 9 lengths off 152. He has been kept pretty quiet since with the GN in mind in my opinion and is now only rated 2lb higher than he was that day. I have backed him at 40s and 50s with several bookmakers and as far as I can see it is Henderson's only entry so I expect to see Barry Geraghty on board. Good value IMO, good back to lay if nothing else as I can't see him starting anything like that price on the day. Eexpect it to be about 20-25 to 1.

Worthlso mentioning that the horse was favourite earlier on this season for the GN.

Only thing that worries me is Henderson always appears to get involved in the National "half-heartedly" I'm never 100% he actually targets one.

Completly agree. Have had £100 on at 50 on here.

Good Jumper and has not been at all knocked about this year with this race in mind.

I thought they originally purchased this horse for the grand national, but it went up massively for winning that ascot race which fell into his hands and i think they have spent the rest of the season getting his mark down.

Certainly on my short list.

I have this one green in my back (fares well on trends) but to be honest seems to have a lot of weight for what he has achieved.  Would happily be proved wrong though...

Bit out of character for him but thought he lost his confidence jumping at Sandown, might be wrong but would be worried for him to get round.

I thought he was badly over-handicapped at Sandown and didn't put up much of a fight. He did finish like a train, though - his price here didn't seem to suffer at all from the run

Like this one too, after the ascot race he travelled well and was still to be put into the race when he unseated in the hennessy, from then on in they've done a good job at getting the mark back down.
