Does anybody know how far down it went last season? I fancy Any Currency but holding back because I think he will be around the cut off point...?
|
By:
Coll, Neptune Equester was 72nd on the list when the weights came out. That's roughly what it is most years.
|
By:
Tartak a good shout; would be rotten luck if Any Currency was the unused first reserve for the second year running.
|
By:
Cheers for the info guys. Think he has a decent chance of getting placed if he gets in. Was jumping really well until the small error that unseated Aidan Coleman in the beecher chase.
Would be good if he kept Coleman for the ride too if Venita decides that Katenko has too much weight to run. |
By:
My guess, No. 60 on the list.
|
By:
Soll will be the last to get in i reckon.
|
By:
My guess would be 9 defectors, leaving Poker de Sivola on 40... What is the latest consensus of opinion?
|
By:
Hope you're right as I've got ew nrnb on both Any Currency and Poker De Sivola and trying to count down likely defectors. It'll be tight
|
By:
I reckon a fair few of the Irish contingent will run at Fairyhouse instead, so that gives plenty of hope for all in the 40s certainly
![]() |
By:
At this rate even Gullible Gordon's gonna get a run lol
![]() |
By:
Ok non runners = Prince de Beacheane, Beshebar, Wyck Hill, Tofino Bay, Magnaminity, Across the Bay (probably), Lion Na Bearnai (probably).
That leaves Any Currency as the last horse to get in. First reserve would be either Major Malarkey or Poker de Sivola depending on the handicapper as they currently have the same weight. |
By:
Are the final decs for the Irish National today or tomorrow?
|
By:
Okay, they're just in (timing)!
Magnaniminity is entered for the Irish National. |
By:
Reckon if thats the case Swing Bill will be pulled out and Poker de Sivola would get a run if he gets the nod at 41 for definate and all the above are non runners
Surely Johnson will see this option as his best I hope so as off bottom weight this would have as much of a chance as Chicago grey imo |
By:
What A Friend has been entered in the Bowl.
|
By:
Interesting entry for What A Friend, but he hasn't drifted
![]() |
By:
An article in the Mail on Wednesday quoted PN as saying he would be ridden by Sam Thomas in the GN unless the going is too soft for him, in which case he would switch to the Bowl. It looks as though the Bowl entry is precautionary in case they over-water.
|
By:
Thanks for that Rydal, what does everyone reckon about the chances of these three lining up... Bob Lingo, Joncol and Lion Na Bearnai? I could do with Soll getting a run to balance my book
![]() |
By:
I'd be surprised if Joncol ran given the ground is unlikely to be really soft given the way he's been wrapped in cotton wool throughout his career?
|
By:
I NEED some more non-runners!! Somebody please give me some hope that at least Soll, and ideally Viking Blond will run!! The prospect of too many voided lays on the balloted out horses for me at the moment
![]() |
By:
Prince de Beauchene, Beshebar, Wyck Hill, Tofino Bay and Magnaminity are all definitely out.
Lion Na Bearnai latest we heard was only 50/50 for the race. Everything else 1-40 are intended runenrs at this point in time from what I can tell. |
By:
Bostons Angel also a doubtful runner with Robbie Power confirmed to ride Joncol???
|
By:
Soll is an interesting drifter, which would help me if he wasn't declared
![]() |
By:
noticed soll is friendless too ,surely will be missing ?
|
By:
Soll probably going in the Topham
|
By:
Not a chance of getting in has he balloted out
|
By:
That was a great spot so you think. I'm surprised it was still being backed right up to 5 day dec time.
|
By:
Dont know much about it but of the top 40, dont think Pandorama, Midnight Chase, Katenko, Roi De Mee or Quito De La Roque in the betting.
Will Chicago Grey deffo get in? Mainly, Colbert Station and Seabass for me |
By:
chicago is number 27
|
By:
Thanks. According the list above, it's 49. I dont know the latest news about horses, just like a flutter on them, especially big races
|
By:
Looking at some big prices on here. 47/1 Big Fella Thanks, 50/1 Across The Bay and 69/1 Quel Esprit. Are they likely starters, please? Just seen Across The Bay doubtful
|
By:
I think Soll will get in. He is No. 42 instead of Backstage. Would have to think at this stage at least one possibly 2 will have setbacks/cgane of target due to ground etc. Hopefully keep him in if they are first reserve.
|
By:
no prob wood poker de sivola current n0. 40
|
By:
Is major malarkey or poker de sivola currently number 40???
|
By:
Think it's Major Milarkey
