Now we all know The Don loves a good top class Grand national entry, and possibly I think Our Mick could be his best chance this year.
He's very well handicapped so far judged on his chase form and he proved all was well when running a big race on Saturday before unseating and I think it would have been a very different finish for Katenko had he not unseated. He was entitled to need the run on Saturday too having come back from nearly a year off. He got 3 miles in the festival handicap chase last year but obviously 4miles 4furlongs is not guaranteed that he would stay that and that is the only negative I can come up with for him.
What do all you other people think with regards to his chances if he was to line up, and do you think McCain would run him?

you are right to be worried about his stamina as I can see nothing in his pedigree to suggest he is an out-an-out stayer. He is also very inexperienced and I therefore doubt he will run in this years national (or any other). bazzar go onto the Sportinglife site where you can watch the ruk races. |

Saturdays mistake aside when causing Maguire to unseat, he's usually a very solid jumper. His defeats have all been against very smart horses. Probably would be safer to run him in the Topham with his stamina assured, but I'd like to see him go back up to 3miles as he definately got it at the festival in March.
