Looking at purchasing my National tickets today, was wondering if anyone had any experience of the County stand in respect of the facilities within the stand such as dedicated bars, refreshment areas, toilets etc. We have a couple of elderly people in our party and need to make sure they don't have to walk too far.
From memory there is no actual bar on the roof - I don't even think you are allowed to take drinks up there.
There are dedicated bars, toilets and viewing areas at the lower levels of each stand but if it is the Friday you are going, be prepared to stand in a queue behind a lot of scantily clad "ladies" - regardless of whether you want the gents or ladies toilets!!

There's a bar and toilets on that roof area. You simply step out upon the concrete steps to view (but leave alcoholic drinks behind or stink them). It's a good stand.

There will be a lot of stairs to climb, and not much seating in the bar once it gets busy, especially on Friday when the bar is rammed as no-one is too interested in watching the racing. View is magnificent with plenty of room, even on Saturday. No cover if it is chucking it down. To be honest it is probably not best selection for elderly;you would be better off with a definite seat.
