Word on twitter that Ladbrokes are going big on Synchronised tomorrow - they are saying they are going to hold a price of 12/1. I would anticipate other bookies following - probably fred, bet 365 and William Hill. I can see Synchronised drifting big time...

The Odds are stacked against Syncronised thats for sure, onl one horse in history to do the Gold Cup,National double, top weight and its apparent in ability to jump!! its got to be the lay of the day! to back it I would want 50/1. In fact no I still wouldn't back it. Its form is undeniable but pencil in all the other factors and it will be lucky to finish, even if it does a place would be the best it could hope for.

good points for Syncronised are!

Form
Jockey Booking
Soft ground

Ability to stay 4.4miles

Negatives

Sharp return after Cheltenham
can't jump
Top weight
age
Race history
course?

Having said all that the midlands GN is a good test race for the national and it won that quite well. I just can't have it though. Too much to overcome.

It's not soft ground. Says good on RP site. I agree it has no chance though.

its a v poor publicity scam by ladbrokes - they reckon its gonna be a 7/1 fav so the lay a few fivers at 12 and shout it from the rooftops - not v subtle

and remember it doesn't matter the horses real chance, on a day like today it will be fav cos the world and mainly his wife will back it

Seriously though.. "can't jump"? It's never fallen and won a GC and 2 Nationals. Can a poor jumper actually win a GC at Chelt? It's not actually giving that much weight away to much inferior animals. Methinks you're desperate to lay! Wink
