I thought he was decent value at 33/1 a month ago. Price still available and have gone in again.

I think I like him too.  Would rescue a wretched season for the barn and Dickie deserves the big 'un, doesn't he?  A fitting lifetime achievement award.

Go Planet.

Agree that he's a solid e/w chance, ground should suit, is generally a decent jumper, still lightly raced for a 10yo and has enough ability to win a Grade 1 over 3 miles.

Slight negative for me is im unsure how strong the form this season is, neither the Henn or rp chase looked classic renewals, hennessey runners are a combined 2/41 since for instance but there are far worse bets out there imvho.

High enough in the weights, and I might just rather have more faith in proven stouter stayers.

A favourite of mine, I've backed him both times this year but doubtful stayer I think.

It's very hard to say horses will get the trip in this race as it's the longest in the Calendar so unless they've won it, or at least been staying on, it's a guess-up.  Even horses like Hello Bud, a Scottish National winner over 4 miles, don't get the last half a mile, so there's no way of telling until they try.  However, I do think PoS looks a real stayer these days and feel confident he needs further than 3 1/4m.  I'd say he'd get the Welsh National trip standing on his head (with the right ground conditions) and certainly won't be ruling him out on stamina until we find out. Nothing to fear on pedigree either.

Love the horse, but agree there stamina doubts are there

I think he has the tactical speed to travel like a dream for most of the race so could be good for a trade (provided his jumping holds up as it has been suspect at times)

Then it'll be a case of seeing out the last mile or so. If he can, he's a very likely winner imo

Didn't really look like he stayed in The Hennessy having looked all over the winner turning into the straight.

I like him too.

Despite dicky Johnson having a rectid record around the Grand National course he is worth a punt especially as he is a top of the ground horse.

Probably a non stayer,no National winner has had a conduit mare ratio higher than 0.95(comply or die 2008)since 1980,Planet of sound 1.05,and no horse had the same or more speed points than stamina points in their conduit mare profile since 1980,Planet of sound 14 speed and 14 stamina.
