Just had a glance at the Paddy Power card and wondering if Calgary Bay is the forgotten horse of the race. Has lots of form at the course, has dropped to a nice mark and will have a feather weight by his standards. Also he is a strong traveller who stays further than the Paddy Power trip. At around 50/1 on Betfair.
Would be a nice tonic for TB if he won.

All conditions are right for him (left handed track, good ground etc) but Hen states the long term plan is the Grand national again so i get the impression this is just a stepping stone. Cant see them damaging a potential good mark to be honest.

I've always thought that he was the type that improves for a run. I have had a small nibble ew but would have been far more confident if he had not missed his prep run a few weeks back.

has run well at chel, his run behind wishful thinking gives him a shout, his win at doncaster suggests a flat track suits him better

I think there are going to be worse 50/1 shots this year. Just wondering why if he is being aimed at the National he is not running in the 3m 3f race that precedes the PP.

Thrown in on course form with Wishful Thinking when beat a few lengths. How he is 40's and Billie Magern is 22's only getting 2lbs made me chuckle...

^Because CB is very exposed and has won two chases in 20 odd runs? Because he's poor after a break?

Quite a few similarities between Billie and Little Josh in fact - enough to make a case. Plenty fancy Billie to be a big improver and stay like Ollie in time.

Billie is out of his depth in this kind of race. A top 6 finish would be a great run.

Brought back to a realistic level and in he goes-Celestial Halo the same. There is clearly a huge gulf between the Grade 1 races and a handicap. I am very happy to be proved wrong about CB.
