There is a listed race on the Tuesday, the Vincent O'Brien Ruby stakes. Michael Bell brought a runner over owned by the Queen a couple of years back.

Killarney now hosts the Kingdom Gold Cup - it used to be run at Tralee. Did it used to be called the Guinness Gold Cup.

I wouldn't imagine the racing will be of the highest order, but it will be competitive, the prize money will shame what is on offer in the UK.

I would love to be attending. I went to the meeting in May and thought it was fantastic. Great town with plenty of bars, a track that is a 5-10 minute walk from the town centre and in a great setting. You get a decent view of the action and if the weather behaves, it will be marvellous.
