Although work commitments mean that I am slightly out of touch with the club scene, the first round of the Galway championship starts this weekend and the good people at P P have priced up the games.

Caherlistrane, in spite of losing some key men to immigration, look the standout bet to beat an under strength Caltra side. Caltra are not the force they were and are still without their star man Michael Meehan.

Recommendation- 2pts Caherlistrane @ Evs

Of the other games, Carraroe look big at 4/6 to beat a desperately poor Killanin outfit, who I expect to be relegated this year.

I see the evens with PP has been well and truly taken and they now go 8/13. 4/6 available with Ladbrokes. Good luck followers.

Followers in clover- a 3 point win for Caherlistrane with Cormac Bane shooting 8 points and victory for Carraroe in a bizarre game, which they won 1-17 to 5-2.

I find that the majority of Cork people are incapable of stringing two sentences together, so a forum would be wasted on them.

doodlebanger have you returned from your forum hiatus to steam into Harry Redknapp for the Chelsea job? Your record in next manager markets is unparalleled.
