Interesting that both pricewise and gary obrien fancy voler for todays staying hurdle.
If u look at the Mares hurdle race at Chelt last year Quevega beat Voler by around 6 lengths, and has proven she stays at Punchestown.
Voler on the other hand has tended to run over 2 miles and shows good speed. Although her breeding suggests she will stay, I cannot see her making the frame today, as she tends to run a little keen and has ben outgunned by Quevega before. Mourad will be staying on at the finish and will be placed imo.
At the current prices therefore u are taking around 6/4 that she beats the rest of the field. Absolutely no value there.
Max place lay at 2.6.
9/1 for the win is a joke price for me. I do not lay over 5/1 so I'm not getting involved, but my value price would be nearer 20s.

I like Voler La Vedette, she is a decent horse, maybe better than decent but I cannot have her to win today. I would not back her with Essexguys money. I know he has had a bet on her but not for me thanks.

Think O'Brien says in his piece that he fancies Quevega, but to back Voler La Vedette in the "without the fav" market

I think if Andrew Lynch was riding voler she would have been placed

I TOLD YOU!!! I told you not to back Voler La Vedette, she could not win!

1. She only ran just over a week ago.
2. She is racing Quevega, a horse she has never beaten.
3. The step up in trip does not suit her against Grade 1 horses.
4. If Quevega didn't run her race then Mourad was bound to win as he ran well behind Big Bucks (the greatest of all time) at Cheltenham.

I had a nice bet on Quevega at Evs on Wednesday evening. It was easy money really.

Thank you, Thank you.

P.S. Essexguy lost a fortune backing Voler! He's done his money for the month lol

I have to take issue with one of your points Mayweather (more fool me [smiley:crazy])

You said "The step up in trip does not suit her against Grade 1 horses."

In another 50 yards she would have been placed. Stayed on like a train.
