Can Kauto Star actually bounce back and win this or will it prove to be his last ever race?

They say the Gold Cup was a sight to behold. The old guard being stalked down the hill by the young pretender.

Well I saw it differently.

No fight left in him it was heartbreaking to see this one time champion reduced to a shuddering wreck who could hardly put one leg in front of the other.

Now he goes to Ireland to compete in a race he would have been 1/5 to win a couple of season ago and there's every chance he'll get beat.

I pray he bounces back and wins but Nacarat at 9/2 and in great form looks the best bet to me.

I doubt if Kempes will see it the 3 miles like he did last time. There was no pace that day and that won't be the case with Nacarat in the field.

Never thought I'd see the day I'd back against Kauto in  any race let alone this but face facts once they have gone they very seldom come back

Like Nacarat too, looked through the trends, the last 2 Aintree Bowl winners to run in this have won
