Jumped quite a few slowly & poorly but he certainly stays 36 furlongs , unlike Big Fella Thanks. A stunning training performance to place 3 years & without any races in between the last two.

The way he always seems to speed up down the long straight (granted it's often passed beaten horses) makes you wonder what'd happen if they put him a bit closer to the pace. Brilliant ride as ever by Moloney too.

Aintree legend - what an effort to be placed 3 years in a row. Reminiscent of Durham Edition and Greasepaint. Great training performance; tremendously gutsy horse.

Thought he did a bit more than plod on this year tbh, he flew up the run in. First time he ran he travelled easily and then didn't seem to get home but he stays it better than anything now. Last year he plodded past horses who were stopping, but this year I reckon he made up the best part of 20l on the front 2 from the last. He may still have his day next year, especially if there's some cut in the ground to slow it all down a bit. Has a very similar profile in the race to Amberleigh House, who was placed 3 times after initially looking a non-stayer then won it at 12.
