I dont tend to bet places in national, just back half a dozen to win rather than rely on quarter the odds or whatever.

I like the horse but doubts about trip, jumping and weight it has to carry make it a dubious proposition for me, would like to see him run well though.

doubts about the trip? the way he finishes 3 mile races he will relish every bit of the the trip

He would not be the first quirky type to relish this challenge.I think if he runs well it will be cos he is enjoying the different conditions the race contains, and the weight, trip or anything else wont come into it.
We will know pretty early on if we have a chance with TB,and imo hes worth a few bob.

I dont think necessarily you will know early on. He could easily drop himself out the back for 4 and a half miles then decide to fly home at the elbow.[:p]

Well thats what he will probably do,lob along towards the back, but if he is enjoying himself i can see him getting into the race well before the elbow.

The very long run in could help him if he is still in contention, I think I am going to have to throw a tenner on him.

Think the step up in trip might suit as he has been getting outpaced mid race before finishing fast, the ground will suit & although slightly high in the weights 50-1 is huge

Could be the horse everyone was wishing they had a few quid on if he's even remotely handy at the canal turn.
