I've just joined up to Betfair... was going to anyway but saw the £25 Aintree bet - it says if you bet £25 or more on a bet and lose you will get the £25 back... I have backed a horse £12.50 each way but am not sure whether this is going to qualify if the horse doesn't place...?

Also... how many places are covered by each way bets for the National?

Thanks very much.

Click rules tab on the RHS once you navigate to the market.

Have you placed a bet in the "to be placed " market?

No mate I simply clicked on the odds, it brought up the betting box... I typed in £12.50, clicked the each way box to make it a £25 stake... so wondering if for this one bet I'll get the £25 back if it doesn't place, and how many places the each way covers. I can't see a rules tab! Sorry it's my first time on the site, I'm not stupid, honest :)

first 4 in the national on here.

You must be on a different page for the free bet.
Go to the horse racing markets and when you try to place a bet look directly above to the tabs, thats were the rules tab is

If it places but doesn't win you wont get anything back as the bet itself did have winnings.

If it doesnt place and doens't win you will get the full stake back, but as its' each way the system might only credit 12.50 automatically. if so, just email betfair and they should credit the further 12.50

The bet is a rip off. Usually it's a free £25 bet once you place your first bet of £25. They're now using big events to get away with only paying people who lose.
