Of course Garrison Savannah did the opposite, won the Gold Cup before finishing 2nd to Seagram in the 91 National
Hedghunter worthy of mention here too. Won National in 05(7/1 fav), came 2nd in Gold Cup in 06 to War of Attrition before filling same position a month later in the Grand National(5/1 Fav) to Numbersixalaverve |

Calgary Bay ran well in the Gold Cup last year. Could go well in the National.

The Fellow had a good bash at it one year. Fell about 5 out in the National when going well.
