With no more rain forecast before the Grand National the ground be probably be good or very slightly on the easy side. This horse seems to be targeted at 2 races each year . The Welsh National and The race at Haydock. The ground is normally heavy for both of these races. This is the best handiacpped horse in the race and is also proven over marathon trips. The only doubt is the ground. He has only ran on good ground twice. Once after a long lay off were he was basically outpaced (but maybe was not at his best for debut) and once in a novice chase were he fell 3 out while holding a chance against horses officially rated 20 pounds better than himself.

No, is the simple answer, and i feel there is a very good chance of dipping under 9 mins, which definately not required for this horse, I can honestly seeing them scratching this, a stable that will not take chances with this horse.

Sultan-stick with it. There has been PLENTY of moisture and rain on Aintree over the last week-too much to just evaporate within 5 mins **** some would like to believe. More rain forecast during the night Friday. There will be no record times imo this week.

I would have preferred Campbell Gillies on it myself, but to give Bu his due (nice rhyme) he is fairly patient in distance races. It's in the shorter races he does my brains in a little.

This time last year Aintree was soft everywhere, 3 days of sun and winds and it was good come Sat and I'm sure they may even have watered on the Fri night.
When the temperatues are 15+ degrees, the sun shines and the wind blows intree dries out very very quickly
