Very  few can quite believe how strong the AUD is.Even though the aust economy is going backwards , ex mining, the AUD continues to rise. Each time it gets knocked back by some greek news it bounces straight back. With the USA economy definitly improving the AUD is set to break its all time high of  just over 1.10 and a bit. Currently 1.07.80 ish

We know the USA economy is getting better because melly told us that its getting worse.Given mellys record I'm  on safe ground making the opposite call. Mellly also called for the AUD to fall @ 106.55, thus  guaranteeing a riseTongue Out

It all adds up to a push to the 1.10.

I'll also put this forward- if greece does not fall over in the immediate future the EURO will also rise. 1.40+ not out of the question.

Get on both for the upside, though I have a strong bet on the AUD.

The US economy definitely improving, is this what you read in the Brisbane Herald Sun this morning? I wouldn't put too much stock in that, it's the same rag that gave you the "gold under $1,000" and "sell sell sell all metals" ideas. How did those work out for you?

Since you make us laugh so hard every day on here, I'll let you in on a secret my little empty cranium friend, the AUD is the short of the year. As for the euro, tick......tick.......tick.......

By the way benny the clown, I could write a 10,000 word essay debunking the "US economy is improving" rubbish you regurgitate on here but it would be so over your head I'd be wasting my time. So let me keep it simple that even a low life mug like you can understand.

Do you you know how I know there's no real recovery benny the clown?

ZIRP to 2014, that's how I know.

The trade is long EUR, short AUD imo, the EUR should be able to outperform the AUD in the next few months imo. Of course you could just go long euro but AUD is a nice hedge.

Oooops, just when I thought you were on to something you go and post this.

Oh well..... Whoops

I  agree pierre that the euro  will outperform the aussie, especially under the " non collapse " scenario.

But its not advisable  to short the AUD, I hold firm that its headed to the 1.10 + range.

EUR / AUD has been in a constant downtrend for 3 years. If you're thinking of a long term set up then going long now isn't very wise imo.

news alert as trading opens monday morning aussie time

Euro - gaps UP from 131.41 to 132.03 20 mins after the open a rather nice 60 point rise.

AUD- gaps up from 107.07 to 107.80 in the same time frame- a rather nice 70 pip rise.

Re-confirm- get long both.Excited

Pastie, let me keep it simple for you in case you haven't clued in yet.

The mug can't read charts.....hell, the clueless mug JUST CAN'T READ period. So posting about "constant downtrends" is like trying to speak chinese to him.

The mug has a few quid is an fx account which he trades with and ultimately loses, then tops the account up with a few more quid, loses again, tops up, loses, and so on and so forth. This is being going on for years now on here.

How many times do I have to expose this irritating **** as a fraud until we stop ignoring him. Seriously......

I think you're talking about yourself mellyburger Crazy, this is a classic case of psychological projection in your attempts to pass your own failings off onto others, go see a shrink mate you need one asap.

In psychopathology, projection is an especially commonly used defense mechanism in people with certain personality disorders: 'Patients with paranoid personalities, for example, use projection as a primary defense because it allows them to disavow unpleasant feelings and attribute them to others

When addressing psychological trauma, the defense mechanism is sometimes counter-projection, including an obsession to continue and remain in a recurring trauma-causing situation and the compulsive obsession with the perceived perpetrator of the trauma or its projection.

If this is what watching 100 bps gain evaporate does to you, then I'd never want to see you rack-up some real losses.

(p.s. you must have lost your way........the dwarf wrestling match is on the other thread)
