Essential viewing if you want to know how Brexiteers were cut out of influencing the Brexit deal despite having jobs in the Department for Exiting the EU.

This blows May out of the water she turned down and removed references to the free no tariffs trade deal, security co-operation and educational knowledge exchange offered by Juncker from Baker’s speeches as if it never was offered.

That is the deal that could have delivered Brexit right there and she has chosen the backstop instead to keep us in...witch.

Watch 2.30-3.25 it is clear.

That’s under a minute of viewing that confirms May is trying to stop Brexit.

In general anyone using YouTube as an authoritative source shouldn’t be taken seriously. Not saying everything on there is lies but bloke on YouTube stating something really isn’t very solid evidence. If it’s true, you can find a much more solid source.

Steve Baker, ex-Brexit minister spelling it out or you in front of the select committee. Completely damning, you wont see that repeated on the BBC.

I’d trust Baker to tell the truth as far as I could kick him and while I’d take a good run up, he’s not a small bloke. Although I’m more than prepared to believe that he was cut out of decision making. Davis, of course, largely cut himself out through being too dim to have anything useful to say.

'but bloke on YouTube stating something really isn’t very solid evidence.'

He was giving official evidence to House Of Commons subcommittee.

It was filmed by the House Of Commons TV cameras.

Youtube is just where I see it now. Clips from all media are on Youtube.. BBC, Skynews, Fox, CNN, ITV, C4.

Are those channels all always fake or do they just become that way when they go on Youtube?

It’s still bloke stating something self serving on YouTube, IT, in this case to another ERG fanatic, Bill Cash. When did I say YouTube was fake news? Your final line is pure straw man.

I was slightly misled by eric’s characterisation of the clip though, as it’s very, very far away from confirming that May is trying to stop Brexit and barely even slightly supports the notion she might be.

You clearly watched a different clip. This one was from a House of Commons Select Committee.

Are you suggesting Steve Baker lied to the Select Committee?

No wonder the EU have been stonewalling, it appears the UK government have been encouraging them.

No, I just recognise Bill Cash when I see him, which is apparently more than you do. I’m suggesting that Baker told a version of events that entirely suited his agenda. Whether this was sufficiently distorting to qualify as lying I couldn’t tell you.

I believe him.

What's the penalty for lying to a Commons Select Committee? More than his jobs worth and far to risky to be feasible I'd say.

I don’t think he’s telling an obvious tissue of whoppers, like Trump or Daniel Kaczinski but I do think he’s very much presenting a self serving version of events.
