if two had to be pushed , I would gladly give the elbow to Lord Snooty and C4's version of W. Carson , Emma Spencer . She never gives out worthwhile info or insight !

Worst four by absolute lightyears, in no particular order: Catteremole, Spencer, Graham and McCririck. Even if only one goes, it will be a massive step forward.

THE battle to produce Channel 4's vastly expanded racing coverage over the next four years took on a dramatic soap opera twist on Wednesday when staff on duty for the broadcaster at York were informed that senior colleagues Denise Large and Sophie Veats would not work on programmes for the foreseeable future.
Highflyer Productions, which has been responsible for Channel 4's output since the network entered racing in 1984, has informed long-time director Large and Veats, producer of The Morning Line since its overhaul last year, that they are not currently required amid allegations from Highflyer that both have been linked to a rival bidder's submission document.
Channel 4 will next year take over coverage of the Grand National, Royal Ascot, the Derby and British Champions Day after beating the BBC to win exclusive rights to televise British racing terrestrially between 2013 and 2016.
The prize of producing that coverage has sparked enormous interest with the BBC's racing producer Sunset + Vine and IMG - the largest independent producer of sports programming in the world - both seeking to land the Channel 4 deal.
Highflyer chairman John Fairley said:"We are deeply involved in preparing what we hope will be a very strong bid for the new Channel 4 Racing contract, covering the next four years. In the circumstances in which we found ourselves with Denise and Sophie, Highflyer felt it better for all sides that they should not work with us during the period of the tender."
A Channel 4 spokesperson added: "We are aware of the matter and are fully assured and confident of Highflyer's ability to deliver the 2012 horseracing contract."

The racing post must be in dire need of cash as even some simple news items are members only now, this coinciding with trainer and jockey stats which recently became inaccessible to non paid up members.
two nondescript members of the Channel 4 team are ousted but cunningly they made it a members only news item to make people think it was a big news story and a couple of high profile members of the team had been sacked, I suppose if they catch a few fish in the net everytime its a success?.

This post pretty much hits the nail on the head imo.

Yep, pathetic. They class it as 'Racing Business' which is members only. Then market it as though it's something exciting or important, when the truth is it could barely be anymore dull.

No, it was always a racing business story about backroom or production staff because if it had been a presenter getting the elbow, he or she would have been named.
First rule of reading the papers: "famous film star" is a minor character actor no-one anyone has ever heard of; a real star would be named because that is what sells.

I can't say I'm a big fan of Tom Lee, though he seems to irritate a few people on here - he seems quite anonymous compared to most, and he's far less of an itch than the 'anchors' like Lesley Graham, and the 'expert pundits' Emma Spinster & Alice Spunk-kit.
Francome is an utter embarrassment and McCririck has become a caricature of himself!
Tanya's OK and bearable, although she's still looking uncomfortable in front of the cameras - at least I could imagine her having a bet and liking the sport, unlike the other token females who are just useless.
Alistair Down at least has a genuine enthusiasm for the sport as does Jim McGrath.
Sick Fcuk has his finger in every pie it seems, and although not a favourite of mine would survive the cull only because I haven't got enough bullets and there are far more urgent sacrifices to be made.
I think there should be more input on CH4 Racing from Simon Holt & Richard Hoiles though with their priorities as commentators that may be difficult.
Cattermole is another that doesn't aggravate me as much as many others on the forum, as long as he's not commentating, and PLEASE...don't start me about Artie
In summary then...bullets left in the chamber that need to be prioritised;
1. Artie (a must for EVERYONE'S short-list, and BANKER for placepots) 2. Francome (hugely tiresome, and still bleating out the same cliches after a quarter of a century) 3. Graham (no interest in the sport, inadequate window-dressing for myopic PC sheep) 4. Spencer (see above) 5. Plunkett (ditto) 6. Luck (smugness personified, and needs to use some simple English)
