On what basis?
Report dharma June 17, 2010 5:22 PM BST
I think there was a software issue.
Report Shellius June 17, 2010 5:23 PM BST

they did not void the Welsh Dragon/Jane Stickles debacle at Lingfield, cant remember if they changed the rules after that

Let them settle it out of the premium charges...
Report dharma June 17, 2010 5:24 PM BST
My guess would be that they are looking at their liabilities, as there was definitely an issue with their automated software. Let's see what they say. Maybe they will take a hit and settle it, like they should, but I'm not so sure.

Of course not.  Nobody would dare tell your bet is voided after it has won.

Report dharma June 17, 2010 5:25 PM BST
I think it's almost certain that they will void in running. Can't see how they could void the others. Probably getting legal advice about it as we speak though!!!!

Someone taking a rather large and accidental hit there. Curious to see if it becomes public.

I meant Betfair tutan - it seems like it was their mistake. I'm curious to see if they turn it into a PR triumph, by telling us all how much it cost them, but they did the right thing for clients and other such bullsh1t.

Report raithrover June 17, 2010 5:56 PM BST
phew, got my 25  sp, cheers betfair (for once)

33 quid matched at 999 btw ^
Report OVERSEAS June 17, 2010 5:56 PM BST
31 matched, so 15.5 in real money Freddie at 999/1
Report freddiewilliams June 17, 2010 5:58 PM BST
so it happened inside the first furlong?????
Report Artisan June 18, 2010 7:55 AM BST
Interesting that the BF data shows that the highest matched IR was 21.0. As bets of a payout of more than GBP100 are included in the data, can we conclude that BF have done a deal with the fortunate/unfortunate who got involved at 999/1?
