None too happy with Gakpo, overpriced and has difficulty hitting a barn door.
We paid £60,000,000 too much for Solanke of which we'll never get anything back.
Richarlason has a year left so will probably stay, it's in his own interests and he's
a trier.
Osimhen makes greater appeal especially for the money banded about for Gakpo.
Savinho has dragged on far too long wtf is happening there?
However, if we get two forwards to my mind that's a very satisfactory transfer window,
much as I respect Levy who put the foundations in, it's been a great improvement.

Seems to me were selling Spence and Romero far to cheap, particularly after the world cup
performances. God knows why?
I'd put £10 million on both, but I guess you can only get what people will pay, unless
it's Spurs trying to buy a winger and a centre forward.
Report Aspro August 13, 2026 8:45 AM BST
Crazy, I agree Fig. Will be interesting to see how Romero plays now. I'm guessing the only red he will see is on his shirt. Spence is a strange one too. I'd consider buying him myself as an investment at that price.

As the friendlies are proving, we are still lightweight up front and time is ticking fast!
Report Storm Alert August 15, 2026 8:42 AM BST
Adios Cristian Romero. I seem to remember he was very instrumental in helping win the Europa League final. But for some reason not particularly liked by the fans. Will be interesting to see how he shines at Atlético.
Report sofaking August 16, 2026 2:13 AM BST
I didn't dislike the guy and overall he was a very good player for Spurs. It was probably best for both parties that he left though. There's a lot of anti-Argentina bias in the British media and that definitely contributed to the hate for him. Both him and DJ Ed were sold on the cheap though. There's talk of a £85m deal for Savinho now, absolutely ludicrous amount for an unproven player. Attacking players urgently required this week..
Report Emitdeb August 16, 2026 2:46 PM BST
I actually dislike the guy.. He's a slippery cheating Greedy Ponce of a man.. imo. Good riddance.

He's an above average footballer.. It's a shame things turned out like they have.
Report Aspro August 16, 2026 2:56 PM BST
He's a great footballer and his forward passing was exquisite at times, but he took the piste last season. Clearly wanted the red even though it would damage us. Good riddance indeed. I agree with Storm that he was the brains behind the Europa win, in fact, I've always believed that he took posty's job during that run, but his actions last year were intentional and unforgivable, I can't see it any other way.

Anyway, looking forward we either get an attacking player or, more importantly, a striker or we're gonna struggle, unless OUR Mikey suddenly takes the step up that's been touted of him. Worrying times, yet again, but this team should be an improvement, regardless.

Should've kept Lankshear and got rid of Sowanke. Put him up for sale for £7.25m and see if there any takers. I though Moore went on loan to Frankfurt or some other Bundesliga team. Maybe he's good enough for the first team....who knows.
Report FIGJAM August 18, 2026 3:46 PM BST
Agree Sofa, Lankshear never got a chance, I've got an idea that'll come back to bite us.
We paid £60,000,000 too much for Solanke after one good season, Lankshear is a improvement.
Gary Mabbutt phones the over 75s on their birthday and he said 2% of acadeny players in the Prem make the first team.
Imho probably 0.05% at Spurs.
To my mind at Spurs it's a factory with no peermanent access to the first team.
Report sofaking August 18, 2026 5:27 PM BST
And still no attacking reinforcements. No way do I want Savinho for $85m...he has scored two goals for City115 in two or three seasons. Vicario gone on loan and £8m buy option. Yet another player sold on the cheap. My optimism for the season is gradually subsiding.

And why the hell was Archie Gray captain yesterday???????

Because he was the Designated Survivor.

Apparently there were four in front of him (1) van de Van (2) Porro (3) Davies (4) Maddison (5) Gray... hence the armband.

If Tonali's debut was anything to go by, that's a lot of cash down the drain. £50m would have been too much. Man City's pair should give us a little spark up front (he says) but that was desperate on Saturday. Zebedee is blaming fitness which is weird considering most of that team played in the pre-openers... not buying that at all. It was poor, all round, end of.

Out of time to remove Gray and Bergvall who promise much but provide too litte.

You were similar on United last year, the new signings on their own will put them right there just like it did for United last year even with a shocking start and managerial change there was still plenty of time left, the two losses and potentially another tough game against Forest are reinforcing the Spursyness but there is plenty of time for the players to bed in and the quality to begin to take effect.

Shocking start? Losing 0-1 at home to Arsenal while playing pretty well and 2 points off top 6 after 2 games. They fired their manager when they were in the top 6 too, which is highly unusual.

I don't get where the faith comes from. United added 3 goalscorers and scored 25 more goals and didn't lose anyone important. I don't see where the extra goals are coming from for Spurs and not sure they'll be better at the back either. Maybe wait until they play well and score.
Report lurka September 4, 2026 4:57 PM BST
Pool and Newc are also playing more winnable games before Forest v Spurs too so likely the price will be better before they play again.
Report duffy September 4, 2026 5:36 PM BST
Price changes after two three or four games are always out of sync with what the actual price should really be, Pool and Newc playing and perhaps winning affecting the price is akin to the lead changing after the first fence in the National and someone over-reacting at that point.

Villa didn't score a goal for five games last season never mind win, Liverpool won their first five.

The stigma attached to Spurs is overly affecting the price and the money they spent is exaggerating it.
Report duffy September 4, 2026 5:38 PM BST
I'd be quite happy for Spurs to get turned over at Forest and then be able to get some 4/1-9/2 top 6.
