are Glasgow Celtic playing the best football in UK?

Celtic my 2nd team. However, with the calibre of teams they play, I would say not a fair comparison.

They're doing ok but the standard of football is extremely low.

Not according to that loudmouth Cundy on talksport. Does'nt even think Celtic are a big club.

Any team in the Premier League or the Championship would easily win the SPL season after season.

if a premiership or championship team moved into the spl they would be bound by the financial climate, how exactly would these teams propose to compete with Celtic within this climate?

Newcastle would not win the SPL even with that team

If Celtic had made the Europa we would be contenders no doubt about it

I've only seen them play in the CL. I never watched an SPL game in my life.

Celtic on a par with Newcastle who are boith on a par with West Ham  ( mid table EPL)

the rest of the SPL is  a mix of Championship and League One .

That's a cup game.   It does not mean that Celtic could thrive in the PL.

The level is miles now

Even though Hearts and Aberdeen are well run they are not professional enough yet.Celtic one of the best run clubs about and if we fail to make the Champions League we need to scale back.

Wouldnt swap Tierney , Simonuvic , Lustig , Sinclair , Rogic , Dembele for any Chelsea players that play that position.

Dembele will end up at Chelsea

Remember in the last qualifier to get in the CL we beat them like 5-4 on aggreate from Israel and got laughed at and saying we struggled.That team went on to qualify form their Europa group ahead of Southampton and Inter Milan behind them.


People might say Southampton and Inter never took it serious but Celtic have improved a lot since we beat that mug team , the defence and goalkeeper have learned to play Rodgers way more.Big things ahead at Celtic

They're doing well but I'm not sure how they can progress much further while they're stuck in the SPL.

Need to make CL a good few year running before we start buying star players

Its about youth and some experience just now and i hope we stay this way if we can get players like Tierney and Henderson coming through then its better than signing fancy names.

There's only a handful of players in the EPL that would get anywhere near any of the SPL first teams.

Hutton in his younger years was an excellent attacking threat taking and beating players with no fear. He had some fantastic performances for Scotland. After the move to England though he was totally exposed and his confidence was shot to pieces, still a terrible defender but now a player unwilling to risk beating a man and getting a good ball in rather get so far up the pitch then play it sidewards.

As for Celtic it's easy to look good, Rodgers can see his team is far too good for everyone else so can press hard without any fear of threat.
