im a Liverpool fan but not sure how Downing makes it and Adam Johson doesn't. Also not sure how you can pick someone like Oxlaide Chamberlain when hes hardly figured for Arsenal.

Give or take the odd marginal selection it's about as good a squad as he could have chosen given the limited players available.  No one left at home would make little difference.

most Liverpool fans would rather their players didn't get tired playing for England. Carroll is probably the exception that needs the games. Ive watched most Liverpool games and Johnson has been good, made the odd mistake but almost always their biggest attacking threat down the right, Richards is good too but hes hardly played the last few months.

i have a sneaky suspicion carroll might come good at some point, perhaps as an impact sub like in the cup final. he is almost certain to be "plan b" after the **** hits the fan in the quarters. wellbeck is pants, never rated defoe, the defence i can cope with, but my main impression is were taking a woeful midfield - full of players who are either **** or past it. not one ounce of creativity. wtf is adam johnson?

i think that downing in the squad is utter madness and i think that adam johnson and micah richards can count themselves very unfortunate, richards in particular is unlucky, he burst on the season a few years back, then lost his way somewhat but this season re-established himself  only to find himself once again on the sidelines at city.

overall it doesn't look good does it.

I reckon we could throw the whole squad of failing show ponies in the bin   Then pick a new squad not including any of them and we would do a lot better fans would be happier we would be looking to the future

Easy to say about Scholes now but there was 2.5k sitting at 2.14 for a while of which only 400 got matched, where were you layers then?  No doubt some laying Scholes would be moaning about insiders had he been selected, truth is you're going to get stung more often that not on these type of markets

first time id looked at the market.

There was over £900 wanting to back Scholes at 1.45 when the market was suspended, and some more at 1.5. Someone thought they knew, suprised no one actually did!

Silly moves are not necessarily uninformed when it's a market regarding footballers

The type of person who would have found out is unlikely to have a clue what drip feeding is and even still in such a low liquidity market you're often better off throwing your lump in and hoping for a fair sized layer than dripping it in.
