Andy Carroll looked half decent against Man Ure today

Barca and Madrid are good yes, but wot about the rest of the league, surely it is better to have a more competetive league than two teams who are miles better than the rest, its very similar to Scotland in that respect.

DAN - not disputing that.  But the current crop of EPL player is a bad lot.  The money that they're earning does not fit the standard.  Teams like Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal, etc not improving.  Henry coming back summarises Arsenal as well.

I'm very embarrassed by the standard.  I cannot sleep at night.

Standard is OK but was always going to decline with the changes in the tax laws.

yea, without the top talent english football is pretty poor, serie a & la liga can make their own talent and will always remain good, but without rich benefactors and tons of foreign talent the EPL is pretty much below par.

The top sides are getting worse and the smaller clubs are getting better.

just swings and roundabouts in it? from 2000 ish to 2010 ish prem was pretty much the best. the 90's the italians were great then they went downhill. its happened throughout time and will continue to happen. prem is sh ite at the min for me. man u must be a good team cos theyre second in the league. but look at them really? they aint really got any good players? theyre nothing compared to united teams of old. that shows how sh it the prem is if they can be 2nd
