why I put them up. 26 points and 16 points clear of their
opponents respectively. Hope you didn't oppose them.

No didnt oppose them mate,just thought the prices were abysmal for both. Vale a club in real trouble, massive injury list and just about to go into admin having lost all their loans (had to go back); whilst Plymouth in decent form. Torquay 4 home wins on the spin, but very very lucky midweek against Dagenham when they were long way second best.
