Seems like alot want to attack the utd keeper while he beds into english football making a mountain out of every little error, yet at the same time saying nothing about other 'top' keepers and their blunders.

This thread will simply chart the blunders in parallel. I'd wager this will be a longer thread that its sister one.

Petr Chech vs Wigan

With just moments to go the chelsea keeper pushes a soft 'shot' onto an onrushing wigan attacker to hand wigan a share of the spoils.

Petr Cech

Cost 7m
In his 8th season here
Holds the record for most clean sheets and fewest goals conceded in a season
Won 10 trophies
Voted Europe's best keeper twice

David de Gea

Cost 18m
Made almost as many mistakes as he's played games
Clothes don't fit him
Report OneOpportunity December 21, 2011 12:45 AM GMT
De Gea has kept more clean sheets than Cech this season in the league.

Chesney, the now WORLD CLASS goalkeeper of Arsenal (if you listen to their supporters, that is), in the league cup final v Birmingham. His lack of command of his area cost Arsenal their first trophy for a long, long time. Its actually surprising that an Arsenal supporter had the bare faced cheek to start the anti De Gea thread.

Whatever anyone ever says

The refugee they call De Gea is absolutely garbage

Must have been scouted by Stevie Wonder

Let in more goals from outside the box that any keeper in his division last year and then they mug Manure of for millions

They must have driven him to the airport in the fastest car they could find

The whiskey is blurring old Bacon Chops's vision nowadays

A total bust and a calmity that gives everyone a laugh week in week out.

SAF ignorance will keep him there for another season then it's see ya later skinny , av a pie a do one

de Gea isnt good enough for Man Utd yet and was a ridiculous signing at 18m.

The mistakes he is making this season are the same ones he was making last season.

Surprised Fergie has persisted with him this long.

He's actually decent keeper in terms of shot stopping and having quick enough reflexes to deal with one on ones - I saw that more so when he played in Spain, he'll never be in Wojceich Szcesney's league nobody is, but if he simply beefs up, dominates in box in the way in which Schmeichael did, he'll be there a while, doesn't help he's had differing centre back pairings like WS.

He was actually a very naive purchase considering, Spanish goalkeepers are not used to having balls pummelled in to the box at every other opportunity, the game in Spain goes through the middle as opposed to getting it out wide and whipping in crosses after crosses, at 20 years old, he'd be better off going out on loan, but then again can't see any other club wanting him to displace their own current Number 1 half way through a season.
Report anfeild February 1, 2012 2:15 AM GMT
He just cant cope with the english game. He's not a bad keeper he's just not used to the english game. And will never be. He'll be back in spain end of the season.

Report Return_Of_Dawsy April 2, 2012 10:27 PM BST
Na, De Gea is the best in the league mate. No other PL keeper is world class like he is.

Have you seen De Gea's gf btw?
Report LightsOutWordsGone April 2, 2012 10:37 PM BST
yep, seen his wage an  all, dont reckon it'll match yours, de gea is good and will be world class but not for a while, casillas is world class, vorm and krul have been better this season
Report JamDav1982 April 2, 2012 10:37 PM BST
Dawsy you never fail to get super excited and declare Man Utd players as the best in the world or in the league.

De Gea has potential to be one of the best around but this season has certainly been behind Hart and Krul, while has not been any better than the likes of Freidel.
Report LightsOutWordsGone April 2, 2012 10:47 PM BST
It's not a pop at de gea and you seem to take it personally, i'd happily have @ exeter, lord knows we need a miracle to stay up
Report Return_Of_Dawsy April 2, 2012 10:56 PM BST
Since Xmas De Gea has been the best keeper in the world, can you think of any other keeper who has made such crucial saves on a weekly basis? I can't. He is just an amazing keeper, and like I said when we first signed him, I think he can become one of the all time greats. Krul has been average since the Xmas period and Joe Hart has leaked goals too. If you asked all the PL managers if they could have one keeper at their club, most of them would pick DDG.
Report LightsOutWordsGone April 2, 2012 11:08 PM BST
nah they wouldnt, they'd go with vorm, who you ignored because he doesnt play for a big club but sky dont focus on big clubs so your not interested!
Report Return_Of_Dawsy April 2, 2012 11:31 PM BST
