Oh ffs, this looks like it's a done deal and as a Leicester fan I feel cheated.

Love N.P, and could never say a bad word about him, but what is Milan doing letting our best manager in 8 years leave so easy.

I am well and truly gutted.

Our assistant is going with him.

What a bad day for our club
Report NonShy.. June 25, 2010 6:46 PM BST
unlucky onions

£££££ at the end of the day
Report db2 June 25, 2010 6:46 PM BST
thought hull were skint. strange as I'd say leicester are marginally the bigger club.
Report Onions June 25, 2010 6:49 PM BST
Yep looks like money has talked, but as db2 says they won't have much more money than we do, they will have to cut the team, whereas we are on the up, and Pearson has already signed 1 player this pre-season with two more expected next week. Seems very strange.
Report Mariner Paul June 25, 2010 7:19 PM BST
Is this a joke?
Report Onions June 25, 2010 7:20 PM BST
Sadly not Paul, sadly not. I'm seriously gutted
Report madlung June 25, 2010 7:28 PM BST
don't be onions. he did amazingly well for you, winning league one and getting to the play off in the championship. this sounds ridiculous after what i just said, but i don't rate him as a manager. he had a hard task as caretaker boss of newcastle but didn't cut it and done his best to take southampton down. he'll probably be sacked by xmas for doing nothing at hull and end up back out of work. im sure if you need a new manager you won't be short of applicants. you've a good stadium, good fan base and good players. you'll be fine whatever the situation you will soon find yourself in.
Report mafeking June 25, 2010 7:31 PM BST
leicester are by a million miles the bigger club and hull surely in dire financial position. very odd move to say the least.
Report Tipping June 25, 2010 7:38 PM BST
where u heard this, ???????

Report pox doctors clerk June 25, 2010 8:00 PM BST
dont support either club, got nothing against either club too. but just replying to earlier poster hull city are nowhere near the same size club as leicester city
Report Tipping June 25, 2010 8:00 PM BST
oh dear that would be a great shame cant see it any where though
Report sooty73 June 25, 2010 8:25 PM BST
was strong rumours that he was after the burnley job when coyle left last season, suppose in end it is always down to £££3
Report sooty73 June 25, 2010 8:27 PM BST
neither are fulham or blackburn pox but where would u rather be.. its all about what readies are coming in and whats happening behind the scenes.. anything with mandaric involved is always fragile anyway
Report Paddee June 25, 2010 8:31 PM BST
you ever sign spearing in the end?
Report Onions June 26, 2010 1:54 AM BST
We were meant to have a deal sorted about a month ago to sign him, but I guess without Pearson then God knows. Nobody would want the job if half the budget is already gone. Seriously can't believe it.

If he went to Sheff Wed, Middlesborough (Who both had jobs going while in was at Leicester) I wouldn't have minded as he played for them, or anyone in the top flight, but someone the same level as us is sickening.
Report CASHLESS-LOOKING GOOD June 26, 2010 10:09 AM BST
HULLS GOT THEM SELFS A BLINDING MANAGER WHEN ALL SAID N DONE HAVENT THEY ......AS FOR LEICESTER BEING ON THE UP .....WE,RE EFFIN SKINT ,MANDROVIC HASNT GOT FK ALL TO SPEND THE GUYS GONE CAUSE HES GOT BETTER PROSPECTS MORE DOUGH TO SPEND AND PROBABLY MORE WAGES AS WELL,ITS ALL ABOUT BETTERING YA SELF .............THERE ALL THE SAME ,EVERYBODYS THE SAME ,ILL SETTLE FOR STAYING UP .......................ALL WE GONNA GET NOW IS YES,YES,YES MILAN ............I WANNA KNOW IS HOW CAN YA LET THE BRIGHTEST MANAGER IN THE LAST 10 YEARS AT THE CLUB GO?.............WELL DONR HULL YOUVE HAD A RIGHT RESULT
Report Ricky Santini June 26, 2010 10:38 AM BST
Clearly bad news if it's true. Despite making a right old mess of the home leg of the play-off semi against Cardiff, Pearson's done a great job, considering the state the club was in when he took over 2 seasons ago. Struggling to see how any Leicester manager could leave us to go to Hull (who were supposed to be on the verge of administration?), let's just hope it's a cynical way of getting Mandaric to give in to his wage demands.
Report Ace Rothstein June 26, 2010 10:47 AM BST
Strange one this Ricky has to be to get his contract resolved which seems to have been dragging on for ages. If he does go I fear the worse Milan to get 2 good managers in a row will be a big ask. On for the England game in the Salmon Sunday??
Report STEPTOES YARD June 26, 2010 10:48 AM BST
shocked at this news

Strange move for pearson, can only think its either down to his own wages or whether he has been promised money to spend at hull whereas maybe leicester have told him they need to tighten belts

Given hulls reported financial problems does seem an odd one as in terms of size Leicester are a bigger club than hull in my mind.
Report izzet June 26, 2010 10:51 AM BST
I don't know what to make of it,but if it comes down to money then good riddance.

In these trying times clubs must cut their cloth,Pearson knows we are skint,he would be better of wheeling and dealing, which is were he got his success in the first place.

If he goes i would be very interested in what sort of money he gets to spend on players,i think not a lot.

If thats the case then it appears that he has fallen out with Mandaric big time, but the rumours are this polish guy is serious about taking over the foxes,so why not hang around to see what develops, all very confusing
Report 3132 June 26, 2010 11:04 AM BST
Sums up modern day football...greed for £££ is sole motivation.  Leicester gave him a chance and now he's leaving for a club 40m+ in debt with huge wage bill they cant afford.
Report Ricky Santini June 26, 2010 11:16 AM BST
Ace, not drinking Sunday so watching it in The Fox in Oadby with Tommo, Nick etc. Out tonight if you're out though?

Still can't understand it. Milan better have someone lined up. Why would Pearson sign someone then leave????

Very strange move this one - Hull are in a very poor financial state.
Report featherman June 27, 2010 10:09 AM BST
lets get this straight.Milan has not put any money in this club and is just borrowing and borrowing against ticket sales etc. so pearson says Im on  a hiding to nothing we start badly there no money let make a fresh start.dj cambell will go knowhere as blackpool chairman also wants to keep the money and not spend it.football who would have it
Report tiny dave June 27, 2010 10:38 AM BST
For history and tradition Leicester by far the bigger club but hull have more recent success so can understand the move

obviously he's got clarification on financies ad they've already made 5.5m of wolves and look be offloading bullard to Celtic!! And I expect them to cut some expensive wood but have 1-3m budget

as for Leicester he did terrific last season I simply can't see Leicester getting top 6 again, maybe for unbroken promises from above and the thoughts he may had his best time at foxes best to move on whilst still highly thought of? Instead getting 2x potential midtable finishes and filtering out at Leicester?
